@SomeWonder: I couldn't agree more. Prior to the '08 campaign, McCain could make a claim to some substantive contributions. But his Palin pick (and the crap he's pulled during his current re-election bid) totally destroys any kind of legacy he might lay claim to.

@Cheesecake is for lovers: Even a genuine compliment, when received from a total stranger, can be uncomfortable. You might mean well and not feel it is at all threatening or inappropriate, but it can certainly feel that way.
