in very real ways we manifest the characteristics and live the consequences of our past actions. you say we change but we are a people that willy nilly traipse into iraq in a completely elective war to try to impose our will... no matter what the cost in lives is to non americans. are most americans even AWARE of

Jayden - I've lived there. I like the Japanese people. But compared to Japan, this is paradise - but that's my opinion. I don't like authority. I'm not comfortable with racism. And I'm not proud of our own country's barbarism. Others may see it differently, and that's fine. But when someone who was born and raised in

I disagree. I don't believe you can have peace by force. We haven't had peace at any time in human history and having nuclear powered death machines circling the globe only delays the inevitable. Big warships and aircraft carriers cause resentment and hate, not peace and brotherhood. We don't have the traditional

I think he was talking about this japanese society.

Everyone here is aware that the only serious arms race that is going on right now is the Far East, right? That China and NK are (and have been) building some pretty serious military capability? And as for the curious suggestion that the 'Japanese culture' is in any way preferable to the American one, well, if one

I tried this and it totally worked. They did leave out the part where the tennis ball is actually a brick and instead of pressing it to the lock you throw it through the window though.

This is the key to making it work is getting your family on board. I have been working from home for five years now and they way we make it work is:

1. Wire up a light to the phone so when I am on a phone call the rest of the house knows it and its "No Loud Noises" time.
2. Door Policy:
Open: Come on in - I am

almost any corporate job (outside of sales, direct contact with customers, etc...) can be done from home. i wish companies would realize how much money they waste on the expense of making everyone be in the same place. the commuting, the real estate costs, the expense of supporting an office...

That's the reality of life, isn't it? As much as we would like to glorify our own countries for their greatness, most countries still spy on others/monitor their own people. A lot of the "dirty stuff" are kept from the vision of idealistic men in order to keep the country running. These are the hard truths and

It's a little more complicated than that. The narrative of him being a traitor isn't really accurate, but the narrative of him being some kind of Orwellian hero is equally absurd. The truth is somewhere in the middle.

Barrel_trolls was saying as if Microsoft hadn't changed a single one of their policies for the Xbox One. I'm saying that everything they've both done AND haven't done should be acknowledged. Dismissing that they dropped 24-hour authentication is as biased as dismissing that the Kinect is still a requirement.

Thanks, Johnny Milquetoast, for that update on the continuation of the status quo. Riveting.

"Every Xbox One can be used to develop."

This was to be my ferry across the River Styx, where I would come face to face with Pluto, and he would decide the fate of the man

Your T3i allows you to shoot in either RAW format or JPG. Canon also provides editing software with the camera and you can buy editing software with more options, such as Photoshop Elements, or find software on the Internet that will help you with post processing. If you shoot in RAW, the editing software will allow

Great write up.

You're exactly right. And enjoy that T3i, I know it's an awesome camera. If you don't have another lens than the kit lens right now - I'd suggest you buy the Canon 50mm f1.8. They sale for about $100, which is crazy cheap for decent lenses. It'll go a long way in helping you learn!

No problem. I should also add that there's some settings you can change about how your camera meters light. For Canon, you can do: evaluative, center weighted, or spot. Where evaluative will try and consider light all over the field of view; center will only consider the light that's coming in near the center; and

"... befriending people just so they can do you favors sounds really narcissistic."
