A slide show for press release photos? For shame...
Thanks for taking the time to reply! I’ll admit to being a little jaded because I was actually pretty set on a 996 (while the were still relatively affordable) as a weekend car to replace my E36 M3 until I did more research. I know at the end of the day, there’s no such thing as a cheap Porsche, but something just…
No mention of the Geo Metro review? Easily one of the best, imo.
Get out of here with your logic and reason.
That doesn’t fit the narrative of “all gas cars BAD”
Imagine thinking 2030 is “far away” for a transition of this magnitude to take place. Absurd.
Now we have a firm grasp of the obvious. Glad that all these new regulations are already being rolled out.
Unless battery weights come down, absolutely.
Just when I thought lawmakers couldn’t be more ignorant.
All true. I guess I should have said “economically- priced EVs that people will want to buy”
The sad truth is no one can make money on economically-priced EVs (except maybe Tesla)
Bingo. Couldn’t have said it better.
I’ve been saying this for the past 2 years - the biggest hurdle to mass EV adoption is convincing people that they will fit their lifestyle. That’s why they will have such a hard time. You can’t force people to buy something if they don’t want to, no matter how much “sense” it makes.
Life is too short, if you can do so responsibly, buy one. There will be plenty of BEVs or whatever else you want if/when the time comes to get rid of it.
You think the only way Russia and the Saudi’s see money from oil is through what you buy at the pump?
Fair enough. But most $30-$40k 911's are going to take another $20k to get sorted.
True. But a “decent” one is at least $30k, and they’re rare at that price. Realistically you’re looking at $40k for a car with good bones.
Pretty much any air cooled 911 with 6 cylinders.
Don’t forget the biggest cost saving move of them all: no unions.
