AMC had a four door version of the 74-78 Matador on the drawing board but decided to focus on due to costs and the OPEC fuel crisis their shared platform compacts and the Eagle.

The picture with the Robot-Liter mounted in front of the console is anti ergonomics. Imagine rowning the gears with the shifter, working the clutch while having a freshly lite Lucky Strike flying at you.

Not far where I grew up outside of New York City the society wives drove the W123 and W124 wagons and they were more than pleased. Some of them in horse country loved their Jeep Grand Wagoneers.

Suzuki Hustler Larry Flynt edition? Talk about cross marketing.

That’s a 66 Dart hardtop might be a GT. After 64 they had either a column or floor shifter automatic transmission. I once had a neighbor with a yellow one.

Been shopping some Mustangs this week. My local dealer has no pre owned ones, just a new Shelby and a base model in tangerine with black cloth on the showroom floor. The base has a manual drivers seat, the only option on it is the automatic transmission for $28k sticker minus incentives.

I grew up in a family of Dart/Valiant owners so I know my Slant sixes. I still have in my toolbox a wedge handle adjustable screwdriver that was used to grip the screw for the points when you removed or set them. It held onto the screw so it wouldn't fall into the distributor or fender well.

The Americana folk artist Greg Brown beat you to it over a decade ago with his album Slant Six mind.

An Abarth Double Bubble style hardtop would be a neat retro option.

I sold my 95 Thunderbird LX 4.6 last week for a good price. After 12 years and 140k of good service I figured it’s time for a upgrade. It was starting to sputter but a new set of Bosch plugs really helped. The new owner seems pleased.

The other day I was speaking to my mom when she asked me about my car search. Then she said to me “Oh I got a $1000 coupon in the mail for the local Nissan dealer””Would you like it?” I said “no thanks mom I’m looking at a a variety of brands” She said “but why not?” And I said “because Nissan...”

The only thing I would do besides the mechanicals is change the chrome aftermarket wheels for the classic bundt cakes either in chrome or the alloy finish.

That’s awful. Not to be snarky but as Trump said “the attacks of 7/11".

During the lead up to the Iraq war I’m still proud of my act of walking out of a slovaki, gyro, pizza place that removed the term French fries and replaced it with Freedom fries on the menu board behind the grill.

I’ve always viewed most of these business shows with a jaundiced eye.
If you based your investment portfolio on the musings of business show hosts like Cramer, Bartiromo or Varney you’d have a heck of a time trying to get by or have a decent retirement. After the 2008 crash Cramer was literally called on the carpet by

Most dangerous jobs in the U.S. Police officer doesn’t even make the top 20.

Yet none of them were as apocalyptic when Reagan essentially left 241 marines at their peril in Beirut. No one was running around shouting “What did Ronnie know about Beirut?”

I've long advocated for the same thing for political pundits, usually the ones on the Sunday shows. Some of these folks should have been retired after the Iraq debacle.

An organization headed by Tony Perkins, no relation to the actor, who one purchased David Duke’s mailing list. Hmm the folks on that.

Most everyone I knew with a late 70's 80's GM car unless it was an upscale B-body 88,98, Electra, E-Body or Cadillac with the standard power antenna had issues with them.
