"...but how does the air get in, in the first place?"

I worked for a major website (one in the top ten). We had just completed a major update to the site and were having a company party to celebrate. Press releases had gone out. I wanted to update the new version of our site shortly after launch, so while the whole company (including our admins and engineers) were

"Next up should be the outright abolition of "tethering plans." 'Cause data is data is fucking data, and it shouldn't matter if I'm using my phone directly or as a hotspot...a feature that is integrated into the device."

"I just wish they had somehow nailed the whole tablet as a laptop thing like they advertise."

While the 10% myth is central to the plot of this movie, it was still a lot of fun to watch. You just accept that obviously false premise and sit back and enjoy the ride... like The Core... or for that matter many other movies.

It's a mobile-optimized version of the website. You can use it on an iPhone. If you're scared of the cyber police and consequences never being the same, just use a seedbox. You don't need to be jailbroken at all to take advantage of this.

I had the same experience as you with connectivity in New Zealand and Australia. It's really bad and really expensive. I was on a tour near Uluru, and had LTE on my iPhone on a global SIM with unlimited data. Behind me was a couple where the woman saw that I was using my iPhone, so she asked her husband if there

I'm still confused... does the two minutes take into account fully pulling into the rest area, pooping, and getting back on the highway? That's pretty good, unless you're skipping the washing of the hands... you're not doing that are you?

"haha. I don't think Apple has reached triple-digit billions in revenue as of yet."

That's BS. You could replace your power cords with wire coat hangers and note notice the difference. Go on, try it!

I've tested this. There are really only two potential downsides:

Some things are much easier. For example, compare a Nest thermostat to an older programmable thermostat. Also, since things can be monitors and controlled while away, you can always help out a house sitter.

Our house is already semi-smart... We have indoor (Hue) and outdoor lighting, Nest thermostats, Nest Protects, 3 garage doors, a driveway gate, whole house audio with Sonos, alarm system, security cameras, irrigation, door locks, and a dedicated home theater (along with full TV systems in 2 other rooms). All

I fucking hate that word and wish people would just stop using it. It's way worse than "synergy" ever was. At least "synergy" had an absolute meaning that everyone could agree upon (whether it was a little or a lot). "Innovation" is now completely vague thanks to its overuse and few, if any, people ever qualify the

"They sold 400,000 of these things? Is that what the headline claims? Insane."

"As far as faithful reproduction of what exactly comes out of the instruments/microphones then sure, digital is far superior. You're not going to find anyone with a modicum of intelligence disputing this."

The first thing Apple should do with Beats is sell it. Make this the goal, close the deal on Monday for whatever the highest bid is. Heck, eBay the thing, or use Craigslist if you don't want to deal with the shipping hassles.

I had to laugh at this from their website: "Most of our customers deliver their music to us on a standard audio CD." You know, because vinyl just sounds so much better than digital.

As others have suggest, encrypt the drive. Using the missile key trick is for when you want to give two people access, but only when they're together. You'd still want to encrypt.

Does your MacBook Pro have an SSD? If so, end of discussion, unless you can upgrade the RAM. If you can, do that.
