Seriously, if you know someone who owns the trades that can let you borrow them or can pick them up cheap, they are worth it. Annihilation and Annihilation: Conquest are fantastic. Marvel just turned Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning loose, and they went big and bold.

Annihilation and the sequel Conquest are the two best Marvel cosmic storylines, bar none. They’re the stories that made me fall in love with so many previously obscure Z-list characters. Hell, I even felt bad for (spoilers!) Deathcry a bit when she bought it during Quill’s Dirty Dozen story.
