My retirement gift to me after 20 years in the Army was a new 89 F-150. Reg cab, long box, 4.9L 6, 5 spd. I kept it 32 years. Good truck. Bought one of the last Grand Prix to come off the line in 08, still driving it.
The cars we may think we want to drive from now on, somehow never are the ones we wind up with.

Rafael Eduardo Cruz. Owner of the most punchable face in the country.

I owned a 733i for several years while stationed in W. Germany in the 80s.  Fast, and comfortable, not without its’ troubles. Had a 528i at the same time. The 7 had a higher top end, the 5 got there quicker. Left both over there.

Nice idea. I wonder how well it will function when all gunked up with frozen slush, and road grime?

Here’s your sign ...

This is nothing  new. The railroad industry was corrupt before the first rails were ever laid.

I’ve had a base model 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix since mid-09. 106,000 on the clock. Probably the best car I’ve owned in 50+ years of driving.

I returned from being assigned in West Germany to a new 1987 Escort GT. After 7 years in the land of the Autobahn, I needed a drastic change from the BMW 733i I’d been driving so I could deal with US speed limits.

I had a pair of BMWs while stationed in West Germany in the 1980s. A 733i auto, and a 528i 4spd, both early 80s models. Lots of foot-to-the-floor miles on the Autobahns in the 7 years I was there. The 7 was comfortable, fast, and stable at high speeds. The 5 felt more like it was running on tip-toes, not quite as

I do like a long roof, and this straight 6 Toyota is one nice looking ride, but  that price!

It was a 1960 Chevy Bel Air sedan, 6, 3 on the tree. My momma’s car.

My 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix, with 104K miles on it is doing just fine.

How cool is that? The community where I reside just allowed golf carts & atv’s, so why not this thing? I am tempted ...

I had a ‘73 RX-3 wagon, 4-speed. Bright yellow, white interior. A little yellow bullet. Lotsa fun. This would have been ‘76-’77, I was stationed at Ft Hood. That car was surprisingly quick. I ran it hard, guys at the Mazda house said the motor was about done, so I traded it for a ‘76 VW bus.

The Soldier’s and Sailor’s Relief Act was enacted in 1940.

I bought the 2WD version of this truck in Dec ‘88 as a retirement gift to me after 20 years in the Army. I drove that truck for 31 years, and it was in fine shape (175,000 miles) when I let it go. $10K is a bit high, IMO.

I owned 2: a 733i auto, & a 528i 4spd. His & hers. Both were 80-81 models, drove them 5 of the 7 years I was stationed in West Germany, 80-87. The 7 was fast, and could carry 4 adults, along with a car seat. The 5 was quicker, but always felt like it was on its’ tippy-toes. We drove all over Western Europe, mostly in

No more regular-cabs? Has the 8 foot bed gone the way of the Edsel? The 4-door p/u has done wonders for the trailer industry.

Driving in a blizzard?

As I think back ...
