How cool is that? The community where I reside just allowed golf carts & atv’s, so why not this thing? I am tempted ...

I had a ‘73 RX-3 wagon, 4-speed. Bright yellow, white interior. A little yellow bullet. Lotsa fun. This would have been ‘76-’77, I was stationed at Ft Hood. That car was surprisingly quick. I ran it hard, guys at the Mazda house said the motor was about done, so I traded it for a ‘76 VW bus.

The Soldier’s and Sailor’s Relief Act was enacted in 1940.

I bought the 2WD version of this truck in Dec ‘88 as a retirement gift to me after 20 years in the Army. I drove that truck for 31 years, and it was in fine shape (175,000 miles) when I let it go. $10K is a bit high, IMO.

I owned 2: a 733i auto, & a 528i 4spd. His & hers. Both were 80-81 models, drove them 5 of the 7 years I was stationed in West Germany, 80-87. The 7 was fast, and could carry 4 adults, along with a car seat. The 5 was quicker, but always felt like it was on its’ tippy-toes. We drove all over Western Europe, mostly in

No more regular-cabs? Has the 8 foot bed gone the way of the Edsel? The 4-door p/u has done wonders for the trailer industry.

Driving in a blizzard?

As I think back ...

I bought a ‘08 Pontiac Grand Prix in mid ‘09, with 13,500 miles. It had been an Enterprise rental, and is the base model. It is in the driveway right now, 104,000 miles, and wearing 4 new tires.

Likely a charter member of Drunks Against Mad Mothers as well.

I remember that V6 Contour /  Mystique being a nice little stealth bullet zipping thru San Antonio traffic.

I was stationed in West Germany from 80-87 & owned 2 BMWs while there: a 733i auto, and a 528i 4-spd. Wife drove one, I drove the other. I wanted a 635 so bad I could taste it, but needed the 4 doors.

Probably the best “quality of life” accessory I ever added to a vehicle was a Bar Buoy - a dash-mounted, detachable swiveling cage that would hold a 12 ounce can. I discovered this wonderful device while wandering around boat sales & supply store. The first one was mounted into a ‘76 VW microbus, the second into an

I used to see a Chrysler Turbine on occasion outside of Buffalo, NY. Even as a youngster I knew it was something special.

Damn, that’s fugly. I kinda liked the Avalon. Nice big sedan, Interstate cruiser, stealthy.

Vent windows

The single worst car I ever had the displeasure of owning was a brand-new 2001 Bonneville SSEi. It had to be carried off I-85 four times after dying in rush-hour Atlanta traffic.
