Flippers don’t hack people. People hack people.

If we can’t protect our infrastructure from a $170 toy, we got no chance against China et al.

To be fair, the article does not say or have the tone that you should get one to use against “people you do not like.” Also being fair, the article is not a piece about being “good” to your neighbor or building a better world. The article simply talks about technology, you personally seem to take an affront to a lock

Did it ever occur to you that maybe there isn’t some big decided-upon “view” on EVs and these journalists are just calling it like they see it and sometimes where these sites end up is just above or below what you personally think and therefore you feel like certain sites are particularly pro or anti EV?

I don’t think Toyota can lecture me on EVs until they actually make a Prime for actual sale.

Like I said, this new model wasn’t in full production at the beginning of ‘23 and ‘22 was the last model year of the old generation, so production was winding down. Neither year is a great measuring stick for actual sales or sales potential. It would be better to look at sales of other hybrids and see how they have

Vinfast Lane Assist introduces play in the steering to help make sure surrounding drivers keep a safe distance to avoid accidents. “

I have 2 best decisions. Most recent was a 2000 Honda Insight 5-speed for $500 during the pandemic. Needed brake lines, tires, and a good cleaning. Hybrid battery was supposedly dead. Replaced the brakes and tires cheap and had a running driving car that got 50 mpg for about $1500 total investment. Dug into the

A real fan would take the card and cast it into the fire.

the other option is to steal one on another Prius!

This is a $80,000 interior when you consider the old luxury comparisons used for the gold standard of interior (M-B) are like $120,000 for a high trim SUV.

The recent Smoking Tire podcast mentioned that Toyota can make something like 90 Prius batteries with the same number of cells as you’d find in one Tesla. I didn’t check their math, but they’re probably pretty close.

They put all their eggs into hydrogen.”

Right - Last I’ve seen, Toyota is ahead of the curve on battery research, particularly with regard to solid state. Hybrids use batteries too.

I attended a racing / track event with several people who test pre-release Toyota products last year. People who see what Toyota is doing before the rest of us do, and who hear what they are thinking internally.

Frankly, I don’t think they’re behind the curve at all.

In related news, American consumers are absolute morons... Let’s go to Phyllis Krinkly at the 2nd Street soup kitchen to talk with a man who just paid $155,000 for a 2023 Dodge RAM TRX after rolling in more than $60,000 he still owed on his 1-year old Ford Raptor. Phyllis?”

Wait, you think the dealer would buy the car back at the price that included the dealer markup?

I do a lot of work for rich people. This is pretty common among the young car dudes, who are all waiting on Porsches or whatever. Buy a Type R, drive it until your order comes in, sell it for no loss. By “can’t afford” he most likely means “doesn’t want to afford” or he might not have parking.

I followed this auction and I think I understand where the seller is coming from. For the past 2 years, it’s been incredibly difficult to get any cars, let alone limited enthusiast cars. He (or she) puts their name on a few lists and the Corolla comes up. Great—I’ll buy it.
