I have been pretty luck, but the wife used to commute the freeway daily and on one occasion, someone pulled onto the freeway from a rest stop, realized they were low on gas and immediately hit the brakes and darted for one of those emergency vehicle turnouts right in front of the wife who was probably doing 70 in a

The classic, but everyone forgets the Stinger:

Growing up in Spokane, WA meant not much exposure to top tier motorsports due to the lack of tracks in the Nowrthwest. Somehow, the local racing folks managed to pull in a couple interesting events though:

This same rich guys come up to Sun Valley in July for a little road “rally”

I would look at a used one if I were in the market right now. Sine I work from home these days, the Scion doesn’t get driven much so it’ll probably last me 10 more years.

I think the Ford 300 (4.9L) I6 would ged to differ. Also the AMC 258/Jeep 4.0 I6 would like to argue as well.

Looking at my last 2 cars, I think a Fiesta ST would be good for me. Looking around, I am another the ONLY person driving this small of a car. Can’t blame Ford one bit for trying to stick to what sells (even if I have no desire for SUVs and Crossovers).

We were really close t getting a 5 speed vibe with a great work discount, but the dealer was horrible and wouldn’t pay book blue for our trade in Toyota ECHO.

There is only one appropriate modification for a Lincoln Town Car.

My scoun xA is very much fun in the original VW GTI sense... not fast, but plenty agile. Granted, moving to lightweight wheels and 195/50 R15s did help as well.

I think I still prefer the roar of the mighty (mini) Ford 300 Inline 6:

Blue is almost always a bit awkward... Like where in the heck to I get replacement blue wall-to-wall carpeting these days?

It’s sad that Americans don’t like small cars. That makes it hard for his of us that do to get into something interesting. Luckily, I don’t drive my Scion xA much so it’ll last me a while.

Actually, my 1988 F-150 has a Check Engine AND an “Engine” light. The owner’s manual only lists the Check Engine light so not really sure what the “Endine” one is for. I did se it come one once when the motor stalled...

Finally a worthy upgrade for my small hot hatch tastes...

When I was growing up, dad was in an Italian sports car club. It was a blue collar club though, so it was Fiats, Lancias and some Alfa’s (no Lamborghinis or Ferrari’s).

You don’t need 4 wheel drive for a lot of tasks, butyou don’t get far up an incline with only RWD and an open diff.

Dad had an 85 RX-7 with the 11A followed by an 88 RX-7 GTU IMSA Commerarive edition. The 88 blew and apex seal, so we replaced it with a street ported 13B. Not fast by today’s standards but that 88 was one of the best handling sports cars ever. Probably one of the best manual gearboxes ever as well.

3-4 Merlins or Allisons at full tilt with a shot on Nitrous over water is a sound to behold...

I miss the old F1 Stars in a reasonably priced car bit. It was the closest we got to comparing drivers across the eras (Imagine if Senna was still alive...)
