Don’t need too much info:

Honestly, in the mid to late 99s, we didn’t really have the Internet as we know today. Most of us didn’t have cell phones, so being a teen in the 99s meant hanging out.

Does it come with a diagram point out the fuel pump relay on the back? (pretty sure dads was marked with paint).

Sadly, they don’t make the Mazda5 new anymore, but it’s perfect if you can find a gently used one.

Man, I want to make a cross-country road trip in this beast. Just the looks you get when you are traveling in places are priceless (people either think you are a psycho or perhaps a lost time traveler)

Dad had 2 growing up. I don’t remember this one much, but I think it was an early 70s 1600.

I think it was tough in thto Cities. Spokane did it over 4th of July weekend, but it seems people don’t like streets closing down.

How about street courses? Winston West had 2 in 87 (Tacoma and Spokane) alongside Sonoma and Riverside.

There are 2 here in town. One is mostly original and a bit rusty, but the other..... is a bit custom: It’s now a flatbed on the back held, but the front half is covered in a XJ exoskeleton.

Backin the day, Dad had A Fiat 124 Spyder. Forget about hot summer: no A/C and black vinyl seats. Spring and Fall were okay, mainly because Of a decent heater. It was parked during the winter; he had a Volvo 240 for that.

Great article and it goes for all cars. A few years back, my dad wanted to get a brand new Prius. He went to a dealership that has treated us wel and they had him all set up with a red one on order.

It was family of a neighbor down the street. Not something you expect to see.

It I have already seen new “French” cars here in America in the middle of nowhere Idaho. (Renault Sandero)

It’s factory original paint from 1979.... sometime I wonder what people think though. I do know that I have seen hitchhikers pretend like they are just standing there people watching when they saw us coming. Well more like heard us coming... the glass packs aren’t exactly quiet.

Why don’t more people work out a place to do burnouts? It’s a big deal down under (and they do get injuries sometimes), but I don’t see it as often as I would think here in the US.

I know a thing or two about old vans.... not church vans though; those are a different beast due to how they tend toextend the bodies.

It’s still probably about 3500 lbs. my 88 F15o std can long box base model is about 4200 lbs with me in it and 1 tank full.

And here I thought those curtains were for keeping sun out of the kids’ eyes on long trips!

It was an 88, so it was still an S4; so a GTU. The S5 has the GTUs (and I believe a GTU Base Model).

After the apex seal she went south, we put in a street ported 13B that was built to maybe 160-170HP (more than a stock 89 and later 13B).
