Oh man, I’m screwed if anyone ever jacked my F-150 with the 4.9L six in it.... those things are indestructible!

He’s, my wife has an 07 Mazda5 “Sport”

To be fair, Chrysler probably had a warehouse of NOS 4.0L badges from the Cherokee and Wrangler days, so it probably didn’t cost much.

Talladega was interesting when thy could tandem draft with the COT. The strategy made for an interesting race.

I really wanted to see this jump, but it sounds like it was a logistical. Ightmare. The take-off was on private land, the launch date was advertised as a Saturday, but happened early. They say it was due to weather (it IS windy a lot around here), but I can’t help but feel they were trying to dodge large crowds by

We can seat in in quite a bit of comfort...

Naw... A true redneck would duct tape it to the eGolf and charge while driving.

Guess I’m not going to China...

The AMC/Jeep I6 is a beast too.

The newer phenolic gears do eventually strip out though. Good thing it's a non-interference engine. Get everything pointed in the right direction and slap on new gears...

I was half-joking about the topic. Seems like high performance motors just neetpd lots of attention. Think motorcycles: even my relatively simple Honda 110 requires constant maintenance to keep on top shape.

I usually base my reliability comparisons on an actual “big” engine: The Ford 300cid (4.9L) Inline 6.

Good point!

Funny you talk Fiats... Dad and I always wanted to drop a 13B in an old school Spyder. He managed to have:
