It predates the Aztec by about 10 years. The Aztec was supposed to be a sporty SUV, but was horribly executed.

I never got the lack of movable clusters... My Scion has the middle cluster and at least it lowers eye strain at night.

I think it’s for the “camping” aspect. It's not mentioned, but there is an extension cord/ power strip reel in there too if you look close.

And that’s the thing... It’s a concept from 1989. Frankly, if it wast a death trap with all that detachable stuff and neon green, it might actually sell well opin today’s SUV crazed market.

There are a lot of great answers, but honestly, one of the absolutely best American Racing teams is one that’s still going... Wood Brothers Racing.

You missed one kind of important point. Much like Subaru with “Symmectic All Wheel Drive” (also not unique to one company), Ford (eventually) put Ecoboost across the lineup; especially in trucks.

Bad design would be troubling, but there are a couple issues here:

Not just automatic, but a CVY like a modern 4 wheeler would have. It’s probably one of the easier bikes out there to ride (but the ride isn't really like most motorcycles)

I see these Rokons from time to time and think they are probably great in really muddy stuff. Other than that, they are just kinda slow, loud brutes.

Getting at the good bits requires manupilating some simple-looking but dang near impossible to operate catches. A great pro can do it one handed...

Actually, that front overhang and soft suspension made it grounded to the soundboard darn good when it landed...

While I agree with you about retrograde, I have a budget and custom 2 knob systems were way I’ve budget.

Naw, commercial diesel engine makers thought the same thing back in 1998. That didn’t turn out well.

That's one of my guaranteed win bar bet trivia questions. Nobody believe there are Flash to Pass Lenses (the JDM ones had their own light in them instead f just using the headlights.

It was a 50s GM concept.. They likely worked at each demo (even if there was a guy hiding in the trunk with a backup system and manual crank 2nd backup).

GM LeSabre Concept

I never understood the Lancia Montecarlo/Scorpion: if you aren’t going to hide the headlights when down, why bother?

Now playing

Why choose one... Someone actually attempted to catalog all know pop up headlights...
