That reminds me that my old 1977 Volvo 244 had an option for a passenger side rear view mirror; mine did not have that option. It didn't have power steering either.
Find a Pre-1995 Ford F-150 with the 300cu/4.9L inline 6. With regular maintenance, those big sixes will last 300,000+ befor work is needed. I believe UPS rebuilt them at 500k (often the bottom end was still fine at that mark).
Having distinct cars helps in the event you need someone to look for them.

I remember that from time to time WA would crack down on Idaho and Oregon plates.
Southern Idaho can be like that because some of these areas get cold, but not that much snow. Also, they don’t bother to plow until make 4-6” of snow. Salt would be too expensive as well.
Well heck, ALL of my cars are eqqipped with this automatic braking method! Not so economical to use however.
By the time my kids are old enough to to drive, there won’t be anything to actually teach them. Everything is monitored by the car anymore.
Do t know what it is either, but even my little Hon da Tail 110 which is basically a scooter on knobbies can get through the corners nicely
