We only paid $17,900 for a new Mazda5. If we had the luxury of a few more years, there would have been several other options. The 5 does drive nice though. And heck, the 79 GMC Van is 100x more comfortable and sounds like a muscle car should. Doubt it’s anywhere near as fast as your Flex though. That’s good for me…
Fair enough. Your original, point is completely valid. I am thinking about riding harder than a beginner should be riding.
In theory, this is pretty good advice, however I can ride my Honda Trail 110 on the road or on a field/on dirt and they are pretty different animals. Riding actual dirt bikes is ever more dissimilar.
This confirms my suspicion the you might be a redneck if your neighborhood stay is a rabbit.
I try to avoid the freeway when I can as most of the 2 lane highways are 60mph.
I wish I could stuff a 6.2L and modern transmission in the van. It’s actually 6.6L, but really. only excellsbinbtyrning a lot of gasoline into a very nice noise (when you have a quadrajet just to the neighborhood knee, you hear the air door and secondaries open pretty clearly).
I’m guessing you have a larger engine than 1.5L. Even the van with its SBC 400 and a 3 speed auto is only turning maybe 2600-2800 rpm.
Not so much traffic, but little groups of semis that clump up around mountain home and that big curve before Glenn’s Ferry.
In principle this odds correct, but in reality it’s like dad always swas home what harm does it do to let an asad how past you? worst they can do is find the speed traps for you.”
Ventilation is likely the thing people who have not been in older cars notice. Modern cars run hot for emissions and have very little flow through for aerodynamics. In both of out newer cars, you practically need A/C when the temp gets above 70. If you set them to vent, they are putting out hot air. By contrast, my…
Not emissions testable in most states. Technically, you still need to have all of the OEM emissions equipment. Generally, people aren't going to really look for it thought, unless you move to California. I hear they can be sticklers for proper emissions equipment on ANY vehicle.
A $10 multi tool does not have a proper file-sharing plus you’d need a second multi tool to file the first. At that point, just drop the extra $10 at Home Depot or Lowes on a set of files.
Good point, I’d rather order the $6 version direct from China for a one time use amd be happy if I got 2 uses out of it. My Go To is one of those 80s Swiss army Pocket knives.
