Naw, The hoses aren’t as bad as they look. Changing spark plugs is the nightmare here.

Hit those wire cutters with a file. If you have a steady had, you can even cut in a little notch for wire stripping.

Well how’s this for red neck? My wife’s cousin paints Farm tractors for a guy a couple towns over. I just have to clean up the surface rus, prep it and buy the paint. I’m thinking of Hong with Ford Tractor Gray. I figure the farm enamel will be plenty strong and it’s cheap. Oh, there is a car off bet involved in there

Slight rant: Removing emissions controls may not necessarily result in a better running vehicle and also may be a violation of federal laws.

Mine is an 88 4.9L/5-speed/2wd Long Box. Really, the only thing missing is A/C, but that probably wouldn’t work anymore anyware. The cruise control does work and it’s a really comfortable cruiser up to about 60MPH.

Mine is an ‘88 with the 4.9L I6. Last time I went to get fill dirt, they loaded it up with a full yard (it was like $5 more for a full yard than a half yard. I think that’s more like 2000 lbs though.

Mine still had all the original paperwork when I picked it up. Originally a California truck. Managed to make it to Idaho. 4.9L I6 with a 5speed. Factory ordered then dealer outfitted with a Reese Class IV hitch and Hellwigs (not sure why you would go for an F-250/350 at that point as it was obviously set up for

I need to get a nice yacht captain’s hat for whoever is at the helm.

“If you don’t smile when you see your car, you probably bought the wrong car.”

The kids call it Golias after a character in one of their favorite shows

FYI most of the guys that ran van magazine back in the day are over at http://vanning.com

Dang, I don't have a name... Any recommendations?

The van isn’t really that fast, but considering that the engine is practically in your lap and it has a full dual exhaust with glass packs, it does make a great sound (Quadrajets have that sound when the air doors open followed closely by the secondaries.

True. You don’t get to see afterburner parts every day.

I grew up in Spokane, Wa when the B-52s were still at Fairchild AFB. Low flipping BUfFs were pretty common and not exactly quiet. I remember them flying the B52 low at the air show and doing simulated firebombing.

I wouldn’t call it “haggling” on your trade.... Tried to trade a car in on a new car that I could get the pre-negotiated GM Supplier price on once. The dealership straight up lied about the trade-in car saying it was making noises and was in terrible shape. They wouldn’t even offer the low end of blue book, even when

Oops! I didn’t mean to imply that the Sport Trac was bad, just that it was a variant similar to the Model T trucks with the short bed on the back.

Point taken. Next car I get to buy will probably be a 2door... For the wife. She wants a Miata, or well anything sports car and 2 seater for her mostly solo commutes.

Ford already tried to do a modern Model T.
