One thing you might like, is to leave notepad opened and drag text to it. Plaintextification will still happen. It depends on what's convenient of course.

.... trust... assume?... that it can be inverted to white over black?
Java, maybe I have it on my Win7 system already, but in case not, do you know where that folder icon can be had? I like it, the one at the link I mean, bottom left in the pic.
Hey wait!!! You promised ME that old taco!! Remember???? :)
For some reason, I can't promote your comment. Sorry about that. There is another monkey wrench stuck in the Gawker machine. Hopefully they'll fix it soon.
I suppose most modern photo viewers and editors do this, but IrfanView will open them regardless. Inbetween time, it offers to rename them.
There's a third gender???
Also, I always had the idea that Word's idea of html was... I don't know..... html from another universe.... a parallel universe maybe... but with more padding. :)
Yeah, but then you can't use a cool app. :)
Many of the comments remind me of all the cons of eating McD's hamburgers, yet it makes people somehow want to eat them even more . :-)
For #10, I think PureText is another good option for Windows.
I don't know who missed what. I thought the #cornfield tag was for miscellany. or things not deemed that good.
Rules are really flexible, just don't be rude, and remember everyone has opinions.
AG, that just tears it!! I'M REALLY MAD THIS TIME!! I'll teach THEM to put me in a cornfield!! Put ME amongst the ears and the cobs, will they ??????!!!!!!
Sorry? Who are you again? :)
AG, something bad happened to me over time, and I don't know how to fix it. But I'm pretty sure I lost something. I used to really believe in the books I read, the movies I saw, things on TV. I believed. That is part of my problem. I am so cynical and so analytical now, I can shred anything to slivers.
AG, I need you to help me out again. Is the cornfield a good thing? I was guessing that it might be, if that's where they put the writing. I'm pretty green to io9. I guess there's a FAQ that I should be looking at, but it seems I need to get the facts from someone whom I actually know.
Isn't this the brain's way of saying...'I'm sick of this boring sh*tty grunt work. I'm going to pull a fast one, just for a few laughs' ..?
More gawker belches, maybe? that's my guess. I wonder if there will ever come a day when all the bugs are gone.
Thanks! Most excellent! It being close to the end of a Friday afternoon, I wasn't expecting a reply. I thought everyone but me had hit the great outdoors.
