More for the longterm maybe, under ideal conditions, I am guessing. My own reason is that I don't have the money right now for an external drive. Where I live, I can expect the price to be around $100. If I luck onto a sale, maybe $80. It's just a bit out of my range at the moment.

I was wondering about the recovery partition. I had hoped that 7's Backup would leave it out. I don't have an external drive, so was thinking of using DVDs. That would probably get some people laughing around here, I guess. But that was my plan.

Just looking at some of what it blocks. Maybe it should've been called Block This Shit.

Absolutely! I LOVE messing with settings. Just that I don't like it so much when they mess with me . :)

Thanks! I think this one works the best, of all the ones I've tried. I could be wrong but it looks like another one I used on Chrome, by the same author. Anyway thanks again. It's a good find!

I'd love mine to be like this. Lots of light and air and elbow room.

No matter how much we hate printers, they hate us more. They prove it, with every print job.

My old printer broke [when my fist went through it

This helped kill off a writing group I was in. Not diversity, but homogeny. In its earlier years, it had a wide range of ages, teens to seniors, a good mix of male and female. It added up to lots of life and lots of creating. Over time though, it became a social club where more time was spent going off on

LOL!!

Whitson appears to be gone. But I'll give it a try. If you're on Windows, these are options I'm aware of...

Yeah? Explain ME then. :)

I think you're BOTH out to lunch. Tarantula hawk wasps. They are the best. You guys are such wusses. Especially you, Whitson. ... Giraffes... sheesh

I now have that extension installed on FF5. It's not that great, but it's not too horrible either. It appears to be about as fluid as the one I tried with Chrome. It takes time though, to get it to a setting that the eyes can stand.

I'm not sure, but I might have already tried that one. I know I tried a couple of others, but the names I can't think of right now. I'll double-check and see if that addon you mentioned has any good effect. I tried FF5 yesterday or day before, using a smooth scroller addon, one of the better rated ones. It

I like this. But it's so new to me, I'm having a hard time explaining to myself why I like it. Maybe it's partly that it's different from what I'm used to looking. Anyway, up with the thumb. :)

I think they wrecked smooth scrolling in v5. It's something that I really value. It was still there, much of it, in v4, but now it looks like they demolished it entirely. In 5, it's there in name only, nothing but a checkbox.

I doubt you're wanting an answer at all.

Some people might be interested in this. It runs in the background, keeping all but the active window minimized, excluding dialogs. The author calls it MinimOther.
