I felt a bit underwhelmed overall, but maybe that’s because we’re kind of in the middle of the current console generation, and it seems like publishers aren’t waiting till E3 to announce stuff (at least not like they used to).

Ugh...thanks for reminding me Crosby is just 29...
I’ve struggled with this a fair bit.
She is the worst. On a reality television program notable for providing consistent short-term employment for the same bunch of steroid-abusing gym rats year-after-year, Lolo is easily one of the most annoying individuals to be on the series (and that’s saying something, because the cast members from Are You the One…
Absolutely. And holding the game box for a game then was just more...substantial, perhaps because cartridge+game manual was bigger/weighed more than the disc. The drive home was then spent looking at the box, the manual...it was exciting.
I...I’ve got nothing. As a teenager in the late 90s and early aughts I felt compelled to click and watch (“Oh, hey, I remember her!”), figuring I’d click away after a few seconds.
Buh buh buh buh buh buh
I’d be all for that, but I can understand how older cast members might be reluctant to sign up for the crap they put people through now. These challenges are grueling, and that’s even for the contestants that probably spend an hour+ in the gym most days.
That scenario requires Bananas to have a full-time job that provides him with vacation days. Which who knows, maybe he has. He was in college, at some point (he went to Penn State, which I only know because I went there too, around the same time).
This was inevitable; the Challenge series has now completed its migration from a show that involves fun, goofy challenges featuring your favorite former Real World and Road Rules (RIP) cast members to a show that involves the Real World cast members most likely to be on steroids plus some random mooks from a third…
That’s awesome. I had seen a video about the hockey-themed benefit/gala event they put on for the kids at the hospital. He was there, smiling, hanging out with the kids, looking entirely sincere/genuine.
The statistical odds of having two of the top players on your NHL team not be Caucasian are probably staggering.
Agreed. Barwin was another one of those guys that seemed to only show up because he was doing good things in the community. I understand the on-field reasons for letting him go (big cap hit for play that was starting to decline), but was still bummed to see it happen.
Read about his charitable work while in Montreal and how he settled into Nashville after the trade. Really does seem like a likable guy (as much as you can tell these things from media coverage). Really would’ve liked to have seen him as a Flyer, especially given their issues on the blue line.
Thank you. A very insightful read.
It’s fun, with solid writing and cast. But yeah, the central conceit of woman-escapes-bunker-explores-world can only go so far. Which is why it’s a good thing they have Titus and Lily and other storylines to pursue. But the show’s not named after Kimmy for nothin’...
Don’t forget about the Bruins going down 1-2! (Even though about 90% of the country forgets hockey exists outside of the Winter Olympics)
Thanks; without doing additional research it sounds like your interpretation is the correct one.
The video on this page. Check around the 0:15 mark.
So wireless play is limited to just 2 Switches? That’s...disappointing? I was envisioning huddling up with a bunch of my coworkers (who are all buying Switches; pretty exciting) for a battle royale. Guess that won’t be happening. Seems like a major oversight in light of how the Switch has been marketed.
