Two (honest) questions:

Sorry to read this story and about your frustration. Philly fans suffered somewhat similarly for a long time under the GM/VP work of Bobby Clark. Except the Flyers didn’t win a slew of cups. But he was definitely wed to a strategy that kind of paid off and then refused to adapt, especially after the lockout.

My initial instinct is to feel bad for these people. I quickly overcome said instinct.

That plot is incomprehensible, due to the storyline being written by Final Fantasy VII and Kingdom Hearts writer Kazushige Nojima.

Sorry if these have already been asked, but this article has inspired me to pitch D&D to my group of “nerd” friends from work (we typically gathering once every few Fridays to watch movies (Blade Runner, Scott Pilgrim, BvS) and play video games after the kids have gone to sleep).

I switched from Target to Amazon, both on January 13.

Thanks for the article.

I’m largely in the same boat as Ufford. I started because, for the team I manage at work (with a roughly 50/50 gender split), I needed to balance the March Madness competition with a Bachlorette pool (the lady teammates actively proposed this). I conveniently disqualified myself by looking at the “Reality Steve” site.

While there’s a lot I’m still unsure of re: Switch (the online network, game chat, the cost of accessories, what I’ll play between Zelda and Mario), I think the marketing has been on point. Well, except for the January reveal event, which I don’t think they had as much control over...

A bit off topic, but every time I see that response from Sean Spicer I have the uncontrollable urge to say, to whoever will listen:

It really is frightening. I always knew he wasn’t the sharpest of my dad’s 3 siblings (in fact, he’s the dumbest), but I never knew he was a bigoted schmuck.

My uncle, who I now realize to be a xenophobic idiot, responded to a post on my wall (where I detailed my concerns about the unilateral and swift nature of the ban while relaying how my grandparents’ ability to immigrate to the US helped them rebuild after the Holocaust) by citing some Pew statistics about what % of

Still waiting for Rock ‘N Jock to make its triumphant return, just like all the other things from the early 90s that are coming back: ripped jeans, Full House, unabashed racism (I guess that never went out of style for some folks...)

Like with horror films, I’ll typically just read the wikipedia page to laugh at/be entertained and intrigued by the plot.

Piss on that guy. I wouldn’t want to go to his shindig either.

Former MTV reality personality and current Wisconsin congressman Sean Duffy is calling out these individuals, telling them to put their “big boy pants on.” I would normally agree.

That was it. That was what I needed to see to make me even consider buying the console at launch. I still want to hold it in my hands and make sure the controllers feel well made, but any concern about launch titles just went up in smoke. That looked amazing.

I don’t mind the $300 price, if it’s reflected in a high quality console.

Agreed. Nintendo focusing a little bit too much on the gimmick to start. Lead with a big name game and then follow up with some of the fun quirky stuff.

I listen to Cooley’s show for the 10-15 minute drive to drop my kid off at daycare. It’s a fantastic mess of a program to listen to (as a Philly fan), especially since, more than half the time, Cooley and his co-host are outright arguing with one another (and not in the way you expect sports talk hosts to banter).
