I both read and loved the book. The TV version of Laura was one of my favorite characters (she and Mad Sweeney were fantastic together).

that’s because Orville isn’t a comedy. FOX marketed it as a comedy because that’s what they thought was needed to get viewers. Orville is an homage to Star Trek, with occasional jokes. It’s more a ‘working-class’ ship than an elite ship. Orville is what the rest of Starfleet was doing while Kirk was out kicking-ass…

If James Gunn had left the project of his own free will and someone else took over directing, I’d see Guardians 3. But he didn’t. He was fired for something done years before he directed the first Guardians.

I know Guardians in on hold... I just don’t think it will ever be off hold. And I don’t think disney cares one way or the other. They can make money on some other movie.
