Really looking forward to the new season. Orville reminds me of the optimism of the Star Trek universe - where humans were trying to be better. I could use a bit of optimism these days.

badly edited?
Not like Vader is going to vacation on Tatooine and hear about this Skywalker kid pretending to drive a pod racer. Vader HATES sand :-) (but, yeah, there could have been more thought given to his naming. Unless, the plan was leave Luke out as bait and let Leia save the galaxy?)
“Yes, and the only way to get the “winning” end was to pre-play the long-since-dead-and-buried IOS game.”
I never understood why people ‘go off’ on a game/movie/book they don’t like. Just say, ‘damn, didn’t like it’ and move on to something else you do like.
Mordin had a scientific bent to his story. At the time, he thought the genophage was the correct thing. Time passed, things changed, and his thinking changed as well. What was right then was not right now.
the force holds it together.
Snark is too important a tool for survival - we’ve only managed to evolve BECAUSE of snark :-)
this is why cartoons are important! We need the Larsons and the Wernstroms to inspire the scientists - how else will we get goldfish chauffeurs? :-)
every time I buy a camera accessory or get new glasses I am given (“free” of charge) a rectangular cleaning cloth. They do not leave smudges or hair or fiber behind. Don’t those work well for you?
I was thinking the same thing...
perhaps I misunderstand you - you seem to be saying that by getting the vaccine you are contagious.
perhaps they are not anti-ALL-vax, just anti-COVI-vax. I, sadly, know people like this. They’ve had all the other vaccines, had their kids vaccinated - but refuse the COVID shot. If, two years ago, you told them they needed a vaccine to travel to Aruba/Italy/wherever they would have grumbled about the inconvenience,…
‘Anansi Boys’ has a very different tone than ‘American Gods’ - and Ananci/Mr. Nancy was a very different character in each book. He was portrayed as human in ‘Ananci Boys’ - at least at the start - as a father and as an old man. More laid-back, but still mischievous. The energy Orlando Jones brought to Mr. Nancy…
Agreed, totally did not get a “wish I were young again” vibe from this. But, any artistic act is open to interpretation. The young may think this is “old Paul” wanting to be young, the older folk may think this is “old Paul advising his past self”. Others may just be distracted by the hair. It didn’t look right to…
heh. I was thinking the same thing - I mean, 3:33 is only HALF of 666, so how bad could it be? 7:06 - is when alarm clocks go off on a Monday - way more evil. :-)
so, instead of doing something about the problem, the plan is to sit around and hope some entity solves the issue for you. Sounds like a small child’s reasoning, not an adult.
Nice list, thanks.
all those eyes - you can probably watch more than one movie while reading more than one book at a time. Though, lack of hands... I guess that’s what imps are for? :-)
I’m sure she could afford it - or that it would have been provided. But that’s only part of the picture. Wanda doesn’t seem to know she needs therapy. She’s not seeking out help - she’s too busy melting down. People who are grieving don’t always realize how self-destructive/harmful they are.
