So despite being a thoroughly updated DOHC V8 with all this fancy technology it just matches the ratings of the same displacement OHV Hemi that hasnt really been updated since the 2009MY and loses power and probably mileage to GM’s old LS based 6.2 let alone the newer LT based 6.2?

I’m going to go ahead and try to summarize the comments before I get down there:

All in the departments doing the fining. The EPA has a much bigger stick.

It was a niche market for several years (decades?) but I believe critical mass was hit around 91-93. The years the Explorer was released and had the high zoot Eddie Bower edition and a redesigned Suburban and the Grand Cherokee were released with plenty of optional luxuries for the time.

This is why I’m a fan of small, local credit unions and think everyone should be a member at one. It’s not uncommon for them to have some special loans that aren’t advertised to help their members when times are tough to help keep their members from going to these leaches. Not to mention they sometimes offer skip

“On the truck side, they are: Honda Pilot, Nissan Titan XD and Volvo XC90.”

Most people only really care about the badge anyways.

Nurburgring corolla

“The engine would be unique only to Lamborghini when it’s introduced”

It even started life with a base V6 with 250hp.

This. So much hate on the column shifter. I’ve had both so it’s not a deal breaker by any means but I’d much rather have the extra real estate in the center console.

2nd Gear: There hasn’t been one automaker state they’re dropping Takata as an airbag supplier. Honda said they’d stop using them for “front driver or passenger airbags”, there’s 4-8 other airbags in modern vehicles. Toyota and Mazda said they’d stop using Takata airbags containing inflators that use ammonium nitrate

Even just says “front driver or passenger inflators.” With choice wording like that I’m assuming they still plan to use them in the other airbags.

Here’s to hoping the 458 randomly catches on fire to be as realistic as possible.

I get that the styling is subjective but I don’t see all the hate for Lexus. You get 90% of the fun of one of the Germans (on the RWD models) which most people will never run to their full potential anyways but with the reliability and running costs of a Camry. What’s not to like? Is that last 10% you’ll never use

This.

Wow, 90k miles before it needed the entire powertrain swapped out? The Italians are improving!

So let’s question where they get the civilian vehicles that are widely available all over the world except the US but not where they’re getting the HMMWVs, tanks, helicopters, and weapons that are US military issue? Well, I guess it’s obvious where those came from...

That was my first thought!

Fucking Chrysler! Can’t even design a vehicle that can meet rear crash standards 20 years into the future.
