@digikrynary: Judging from the WWDC slides, it looks like iOS upgrades will just install from the App Store like any other app. So you'll have to affirmatively tell the phone to run the upgrade.

@WestwoodDenizen: Exactly. Record sales are pretty much the only way record companies make money. There's no way GaGa's label was letting these go for mere pennies per copy.

So was this a technical mistake or a mistake in judgment? In other words, did he just misjudge how close the ground was, or did he recklessly go that low on purpose?

@Matt Buchanan: Well that's cool, but (a) why isn't that the default layout (nobody could possibly prefer six extra mouse clicks to read one story) or, at a minimum (b) why is there no link on the craptastic gallery page to get to the sane layout?

@4n7h0ny: Swipe controls, for one thing.

@CaptainJack: So salmon < tuna < salmon? Perhaps we should start calling salmon "Möbius fish." :)

Pretty sure you can't have fraud without a victim. Just sayin'...

@tehsusenoh: Not illegal, but usually in violation of most providers' terms of service (and hence "not legit").

@PaddyDugan: No offense, but that's incredibly douchey.

Umm, wasn't Catfish about a "Real Life Catfish Hoax"?

Sometimes it's not such a bad idea.

@trs: Which I also disagree with (I think European Vacation is pretty damn funny), but it's at least a defensible position.

@trs: Nope, the chart is wrong. Rotten Tomatoes reports 94% for the original Vacation and only 62% for Christmas Vacation.

@Cabs21: Navy pilots have parachutes.

@TX.Toast: That's exactly my point—it won't work overseas if it's CDMA only. But Verizon has some phones that will also take a GSM card for compatibility overseas (I had a Verizon Blackberry that did this).

Ah, but will it support GSM as well as CDMA? I'd love to ditch AT&T (especially here in Washington DC, where Verizon works on the Metro and ATT doesn't), but I love being able use my phone iPhone on overseas trips even more.
