@doug.martin: The lawyers will get a healthy chunk of change, which is the only reason this suit happened in the first place. God bless America.

@AmphetamineCrown: But wouldn't a 110V controller actually be safer and easier, since it wouldn't require any splicing of wires? You could just plug your cooker right into it.

@EthanPeter: My friend has some awesome "Dolce & Gabbana" gloves with the Burberry print on them. He insists they're legit.

@Conting3ncyP1an: Definitely not flipped. Look at the "GUI" on the phone in the back row.

@acidrain69: To be fair, it would be a pretty dick move to accept the money WITH protest.

@Master_Soda: I agree with Th3 Abs3nc3. The VLC developers aren't idiots—of of course they knew the App Store uses DRM. Anyone with even the vaguest understanding of the technology market knows that.

@8thManOnTheMoon: Exactly. There's no way they didn't know that the App Store uses DRM. This reeks of a cheap publicity stunt on the developers' part.

"The RPG lasts a mind boggling 60 to 80 hours, where you'll be spending time swooning gangsters and staying alive in post-nuclear Vegas."

@Ghostnappa9001: It's still a retina screen . . . if you have verrrrry long arms.

@gurfinki: Thanks, I know. The double post resulted because when I tried to post the first time, a thing popped up telling me to log in. After I did, it just went back to the comment page without any indication that it had actually posted my comment. So I figured it had just eaten the comment. I'll know better

Dear 5th Cell,

This is all well and good, but what I really wish they'd spend their time on is porting Scribblenauts to the iPhone.

@Nitesh: No foot-longs!

That stuff looks nasty. What they really should be selling in cans is this. It's whipped cream with wine added and it's friggin delicious.

@Lizard_King: Well....actually every state chooses what is okay for its people to drink. California, for example, doesn't have state liquor stores but still bans certain liquors (e.g. Everclear).

It's hard to see how this will be successful. Based on the price, they must be subsidizing the cost of production in the hopes of selling enough books on it to make up the difference. But people who want a portable reader for books will continue to buy the Kindle or the original Nook—cheaper, longer battery life,

I'd like to see this product be successful, in the hopes that it will lead to production of a hardware joystick/button attachment for the iPhone (along with a standard that will allow all developers to support it in their games).

@N7: So that's what you do—you make other arrangements. I go to Europe once or twice a year, but that doesn't mean I need to own a boat or a plane.

All I really want is a quick and easy way to mute my Windows 7 PC speakers remotely while I'm sitting in another room. I always forget to do this before I sit down in the living room to watch a movie or something, and then I have to either sit and listen to it beep every time a new e-mail comes in (not to mention the

@UnMicD: That's not printed on the Belkin case, though. It's the back of the iPhone showing through the translucent case. [www.youtube.com]
