Good point as well. I constantly have to remind myself that when we see headlines like “Famous person says blah blah blah” the vast majority of the time it’s not that the person put out some proactive statement on the matter, but that they were asked it as a small part of an interview, responded as best they could,…

...giving up Warren Ellis though? That’s a significant part of my late teens and early 20's.
The best part of this was when Iris was in a hurry for the notes because they had to “go to press”. Like she’s got a giant newsprint machine hiding in her office somewhere to print out her blog. Also, they should learn about Google Docs or Wordpress or something, you can do collaboration without wasting all that paper…
“And then the actors on the show ended up emulating the people they were supposed to eviscerate.”
And trying to document them all? That becomes a job in and of itself and invites having to defend them point by point to people who aren’t usually asking in good faith.
The worse sexism I’ve ever experienced have come from guys like this using those same shitty excuses. They are desperate to feel power over someone, and are savvy AF at identifying who they can get away with being awful to.
I mean, I get how you’d want more concrete accusations, but up until a day or so ago, everyone on here was saying the same thing about Ray Fischer about Whedon. Then the Synder cut showed how Whedon cut a ton of scenes with characters portrayed by POC and/or women.

I hate to suggest guilt by association, but Nanjiani was friendly with both Chris Hardwick and Middleditch off-the-clock so to speak. There’s no smoking gun, but there is at least the whiff of smoke. At this point if you told me while he didn’t do anything himself, he was tolerant of toxic behavior going on around…
I agree. I also think there’s a big difference between “everyone you meet is an asshole” and “a subset of actors on a specific show are all assholes.” It just doesn’t strike me as suspect when someone thinks a group of four people who hang out together are all jerks.
Yeah I’m pretty confident we’ve all worked with massive dicks at some point. And yeah it’s... frustrating. Exhausting. Completely demoralizing. Like it can make your very existence miserable, even when you’re off the clock trying to live your best.
I think the ‘beta male’ thing probably contributes to him being the worst.

I think these are natural feelings, and I’m having similar feelings. Are they selfish? Maybe a little bit? Clearly our hearts are in the right place in that if someone is an abuser, we want them punished and out no matter who they are... it’s ok to feel bad that a person we thought was pretty cool falls into a bad cate…

I agree with you that Wetterlund has a solid record of detecting and exposing creeps, but when you say something vague, “everybody was an asshole” and then two of the guys are shown to have some serious sort of violence and predation going on, then lumping the other two guys in with them kind of implies that they did…
