That's horseshit. MS was trying to "advance gaming" with their One policies. There is a positive and negative side to everything. Pointing out the negatives to DLC doesn't mean he's trying to fight change.

On the contrary, it does nothing more than incentivize developers to publish incomplete games because why settle for $60 when you can feed people bite sized $5 pieces of the original idea later and make even more money?
The scope of the game increased drastically when they started raising millions. This is NOT the same game when they were asking for 400k.
Basically, he made too big of a game as a response to getting too much money. There's a few good episodes in the doc where him and his team are just bouncing around the fact that this project got too big, and now it's somewhat deciding the fate of the company.
And how do you figure? I think it's wonderful and impressively powerful indie developers and designers (not just within the game industry).
I see very little flaw here and he (Schafer) openly admits it's own fault for fucking up with the money... More or less.
So where do you get this from?
Every movie would get at least 3 stars, no matter how much of a piece of shit it is. Then the next one would get the same score, and it would continue year after year.
Interesting, I've talked to a number of feminists (both self-styled and professional), read literature (again, both amateur and professional) and haven't gotten the impression you seem to have. Is there any literature you could recommend that would paint a clearer picture of the movement for me?
Reporting something and living something are two completely different things.
That's the problem with Feminism: it's so disorganised that the NAFALT defence is used every time one of its members is caught saying or doing something that portrays the group in a negative light.
Oh. Your age explains everything. Vote, make a product that espouses your ideals and is worthwhile, join a campus group, get an education in a field that matters so you can make a difference later, meet real people who aren't avatars or screen names, run for school office, create a group that does community outreach…
"Women have three options for work in this day and age: Stay At Home, Part-Time & Full-Time. Men have two options: Full-Time and Loser."
The laziness comes from complaining and not doing anything but demanding change without working for it. Bitching on a video game forum doesn't count. People used to march for civil rights now they vent online.
Why do you think that your experience is universal?
Are you seriously not able to read?
That was quite entertaining to read. In a way, I find it sad that you honestly believe in such mythological persecution and a completely fabricated war of the sexes perpetuated by a pervasive-yet-nebulous "Patriarchy."
The problem is: there's no organisational refutation of these Feminazis. Instead, we're treated to a NAFALT (Not All Feminists Are Like That) defence. If I publicly represented a group and made claims that conflicted with the group's overall message, I would expect to be ejected (or at the very least reprimanded)…
Haha. Dude. Please take your own advice.
Thanks. Unfortunately, the negative backlash is what I expected and why I have the views I do of Feminism. This is actually quite tame compared to the venom I've invoked in the past.
I'm somewhat surprised by the dissension and derision your comments have garnered. While somewhat brash (certainly more than a few people have reacted with vitriol simply because of your characterization of feminism), I think your attempts to highlight positive portrayal's of female characters in video games hasn't at…
Demosthenes, your posts just sparked a conversation with my wife. As luck would have it, she sees feminism in exactly the same light as you. She just doesn't see how it feminism serves her in a country where she already has equal rights. And this is a lady working in architecture, a man's field. I have an enormous…
