@BGFUSAB: I can see your point. I was using the Olympics comparison because, just like not everyone who can play sports can qualify for the Olympics and, not every video game is made to be picked up and beaten by people of all skill and/or experience levels. Think about Contra, for example: what made the game so fun

The Myst games taught me that books are badass.

@MPgmr: Image I meant to post.

Claiming that video games should be playable and beatable by just anyone is like saying that everyone who can exercise and/or play sports should be allowed to compete in the g**d*mn Olympics: neither makes a G**DAMN bit of sense.

I'm usually NOT an MMO guy, but with everything I've heard about this game, I'm more than willing to make an exception.

@DragonYen: Exactly. To be a gamer, one has to play/have played a VARIETY of games, not just a single/handful of games.

F*** YOU I'M A DRAGON

Is that Malcom's Mom from Malcom in the Middle on the last cover?

...

@Torokun: When it comes to games that simply lay on profanities like a thick coat of icing on a cake, I can understand why you think it's ridiculous.

Now playing

@Kobun: I know, it just frustrates me to no end that so many people can't interpret anything below the metaphorical surface level of any given thing (i.e. saying Myst has no story without having actually read Atrus's journal entries nor made inferences based on things in the game world.) unless it's outright spoonfed

@MPgmr: Wait, did I just reply to a thread when I meant to start a new one?
