I guess I lucked out with our two - a 20 footer and a 17 footer - when we moved 9 years back. I found them pretty easy to drive, obviously having to account for significantly more length, height and weight than vehicles I’ve driven in the past.

Interestingly, I tend to find the opposite is true - in that one will spawn somewhere ahead of me, going barely more than a crawl.

The amount of Optimas/K5s out there that drive like absolute dickheads is absolutely stunning.

Yeah, I think it’s not done so well after the “I’m really happy” redesign - it’s quite far behind other competitors in terms of sales in the segment.

The recent refresh helped to make it look considerably more appealing, but the interior still is a massive step down in quality/design from the previous generation.

It’s worth mentioning that the Escape outsells the Bronco Sport by about ~35k vehicles per year.

A solid plugin hybrid - especially one where the engine will not turn on without either A) telling it to via a specific mode or B) running out of electric range - is really quite ideal for many people.

God I miss F.E.A.R. What a wonderful game (with some incredibly smart AI for the enemies).

Forgot that I got a picture of it during the cruise:

Can we throw people like this away yet?

Yes - it was in wonderful shape!

When is the last time you saw one in the wild.

Good - that’s who I thought it was

Did I see...a Sam Lake character?

Is this not (very) old news?

This has always been my view on things - I’m not aware of many (or any?) PHEVs out there today that have more range than my 6 year old Gen 2 Volt.

The Gen 2 is not what I’d call slow at all - major improvements in many ways.

That’s TC for ya - prices up there have shot through the roof due to the popularity.

I don’t think it really would have mattered if they did end up testing it. It would have likely showed the exact type of failure that likely occurred, and would have been promptly ignored - like all of the other safety concerns.

Worth mentioning, what you show is the Sonic here in the states (Aveo for the rest of the world). Since this was in Miami, this was the previous Aveo...which I’m pretty sure was even smaller than the already-small Sonic...and much, much worse.

The fact they haven’t added a ramp yet really is a missed opportunity.
