That is an amazing analogy. I work for an art museum and I think this is going to be what everyone here calls Koons now.

So in this case, “anti-consumer” really just means “I can’t play all of my games in one launcher and I’m mad.”

The spend the first part of your comment with an odd, baseless defense of Steam, then spend the second part of your comment saying you’re not necessarily criticizing Epic’s anti-consumer practices just because you like Steam...

The article points out that the publishers knew about Epic’s sale, but some didn’t entirely understand how the tiered discounts would work. That’s on Epic for not being very clear about it (I’m still not super sure how it’s working), but Epic didn’t surprise publishers with the sale.

In the first question, asking if you should trade up to a better girlfriend.

No, but your girlfriend definitely deserves to trade up for a better boyfriend.

It’s because when a conservative uses the term “elite,” what they really mean is “Jewish.” =/

Jeff Koons is a hack artist. His stuff sells for so much because dumbasses like Mnuchin’s dad think it will elevate their social status, spending obscene amounts of money on art. And they go straight for Koons stuff because they don’t understand it and they think that’s what art is.

Exactly. I live near the Arkansas River. In the dry part of the year, it’s almost a dry river bed with just a trickle running down it. But in late spring, in the middle of the rainy period, it’s like 15 feet deep and floods over its banks.

Oooo, yes, a Kevin Feig type takeover! I’d be super excited for there to be a half dozen nearly identical Star Wars movies every single year! And for their representation to be utter shit!

She should just fire them. She fired Josh Trank and Colin Trevorrow after it became clear they weren’t going to put out quality work. She even fired Lord and Miller when it didn’t seem like they were going in the right direction. (Not supporting or decrying THAT decision, just using it as an example of how Disney is

Your totally real film school script prof sounds like a total delight who is super constructive and definitely leading you to being a top not contributor to the industry some day.

It’s more why judge him only by his best work and not the full body of work, which is mostly shit?

Do you seriously think that Lost was a beloved series all the way up until its finale? It was being used as an example of the pitfalls of poor planning with mystery box shows going all the way back to Season TWO. To this day, the first season is the only part of Lost that is universally acclaimed, and even that’s

None of the complaints I’ve seen are saying they thought the character was incapable of this turn, just that the writing didn’t bother to get you from Point a to Point B like a well-developed character arc should. Which makes sense, the showrunners for Game of Thrones are terrible writers.

Obviously the reason people are focusing extra hard on this one goof, compared to all of the other goofs they didn’t even know about, is because these last few episodes are being scrutinized extra hard. And that specific episode with the coffee cup disappointed a lot of people, so it kind of stood out as emblematic of

Ultimately, I just think the game is meant to be enjoyed in the moment. I rarely win when I play, and I’m usually not even in a competitive position, but it’s a very pleasant, relaxing experience nonetheless.

Damn, this is inspiring. I feel like this is an important turning point in the games industry for the fight for workers’ rights. I hope it keeps building!

What’s frustrating about this general watering down of the term socialism is it was A) perpetrated by conservatives to transform “socialism” into a scare tactic they can deploy against anything and everything, and B) that bullshit definition was then EMBRACED by people like Bernie Sanders who in no way support actual

I forgot about that! The game is such a good adaptation of the story and characters. I really wish Ubisoft hadn’t delisted it, at least if they’re not going to rerelease it elsewhere. =/

Haha, I like that, like it’s sort of a commentary on the genre’s propensity to either tell a single story in a tight trilogy, or an ongoing story in a long series. But Martin’s going to tell a single story and then just stop!
