This sounds excellent! I’ve always wanted a 16-bit style city building game that has you build an RPG town. So you have to make sure you have inns and shops and whatnot, to accommodate the string of people on quests. And this is the closest I’ve seen to that yet!

I’ve only watched some of both Game of Thrones and Fullmetal Alchemist, but this specific issue comes up in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World as well. Edgar Wright made his movie before Bryan Lee O’Malley had written the final installment of the comic. That meant that Wright had to come up with his own way to end the story,

Those two things are obviously related. Livestreaming a SWAT encounter is not something a healthy person would do, which is why someone called 911 in the first place.

The article points out that the most likely reason rates of depression seem higher in Millennials is because Millennials are more apt to talk openly about mental health and seek therapy, where they can get diagnosed. Which is to say, it’s probable that Gen X and Baby Boomers suffered from depression at somewhat

I was considering buying the Labo VR thing for the BotW functionality, but was waiting to see how it worked. The descriptions by Nintendo didn’t give me a lot to look forward to anyway, so this just sorta confirms that.

But no biggie. I’m not super interested in VR anyway, especially with not how expensive it is to do

I think the overall point being made by this article and by the quoted members of the emulation community is that although it’s not illegal to use FB Alpha in a for-profit venture, it’s definitely against the stated intentions of the project and many of its contributors. So it’s at the very least really, really shitty.

So I guess the answer was “no time at all.” >_<

There’s already been a 9/11 reenactment stage, too. How long until we get a stage that’s just a giant swastika?

A Toyota 4Runner once totaled my Dodge Neon. I was in college dropping a buddy off at his dorm. We were in the parking lot and a drunk guy in a 4Runner barely hit me on the rear passenger side wheel-- neither of us could’ve been going more than 5mph. Ended up totaling the car anyway.

Look, a really good SSD is going to be an excellent thing to have in consoles moving forward, and I am very much looking forward to it.

The issue isn’t so much with the amount of the tip, it’s that the “money saving trick” is literally just telling people to tip less than they were. THAT’S what has people so upset.

“along with the rest of the Legendary Freshman Crew of Pressley, Tlaib, and Omar”

No Sharice Davids?

Eh, they’re all entertainers and know how to-- pardon the pun-- roll with the punches. I think they’re all adept at staying in character and reacting to unplanned incidents well enough to keep the act going. That’s the essence of kayfabe, right?

I fucking hate the word “filmic.” I’ve never seen it used by anyone who wasn’t a pretentious chode.

You’d better be careful making critiques like this about an indie game. A trans woman on her personal blog made a very similar critique of critical darling Night in the Woods and one of the developers of the game organized a social media harassment campaign against her.

There are no legitimate issues. The gamer identity encourages people wrap their personalities up with corporations and anything that threatens that results in screeching and wailing. It’s no different than if you had to go to Target to buy a game when you used to always buy it at Best Buy.

It completely baffles me that the same people who think political and social issues in the games industry are NOT worth addressing ever for any reason also think not being able to play a PC game in a specific launcher for 6 months deserves such an absurd level of mobilization.

Congratulations, Jason! Great article!

If you’re going to charge customers extra for paying with a credit card, you have to be upfront about it. I think it’s totally legit to want people to pay more with cash, especially if you’re a small business and can’t absorb those credit card fees. But if you don’t tell people, you’re an asshole.

They literally tried to invite as many of the most well known Melee and Smash 4 pros to the unveiling of Ultimate. Nintendo cares very much.
