To be fair, Angelina talks about how she is privileged and people in her position shouldn't complain.
To be fair, Angelina talks about how she is privileged and people in her position shouldn't complain.
Let me repeat that: the death of the bride.
I just got a serious case of the youths because the only album called 'Rumors' I could think of was Lindsey Lohans attempt at a pop career.
Nerves.
Swear to god, I've had that exact same thought. I've imagined living in LA in the 70s, getting the Rumours record, sitting with friends, drinking wine, smoking a joint, hearing the crackle of the vinyl, and all that stuff. Sounds awesome.
No they don't. Angelina is great because she actually acknowledges this when talking about parenting.
You aren't going to HAVE friends with such draconian rules.
Depends.
Actually, I don't give a shit about what Marissa Mayer has to say about it either; certainly not more than what Kim K has to say. But I also could not give two shits about what my next door neighbor has to say on the subject either. I just hate this question - it's so stupid, pointless, and overplayed. There is no one…
I don't know. I'm a woman and consider myself a pretty ordinary person, but I think she has a decent point.
But you cannot convince me that dressing up and doing elaborate makeup in order to pose for selfies that are then posted on Instagram is work.
And you can be pissed as fuck that she is hustling to make money but she IS doing a job. She is working. She is completing a service and getting paid for it. You just don't approve of the service she is providing.
Neither does Marissa Mayer, but would she be "talking out of her ass" if she made the same quote. I suspect people would have a totally different attitude because her work is deemed somehow more acceptable. I'm no fan of Kim K, but the comments on this post are a little "mean girl" for my taste.
Not all of us have to copy-and-paste info from other media sites and call it news to make a living.
Agree - yeah, she's no Jezebel blogger-level of inspiring. *eyeroll*
Uh, yes it is. Her answer on this question is being vilified because she "doesn't work" or "doesn't have a real job" or "made a sex tape." Seriously, read the comments. Then come back. I'll wait.
I did listen to it for the first time in the 70s, on an 8 track, in a Gremlin. So pretty much the same level of glamour.
Her remarks are, while well-meaning, a little unrealistic. In her mother's effort to encourage her to have personal and profession priorities, Kim heard " YOU CAN HAVE IT ALL!" Her response is a few shades to the right of rambling. I think Yeezus is rubbing off on her a bit.
Ahem-*while I'm there*
Confused about the implication that she doesn't work. Maybe her career isn't as academically inspired as being a lawyer, or a doctor, or a writer, but she still works. She may not work as "hard", but that's just a silly debate to have in any case.
