Ford wants to stop making small cars, so now BMW Mustang 8?

There’s so many talented amateurs working their asses off for a chance to race that are actually good people, why should anyone give this guy a second chance? (I’m sure the answer is money, but still...)

Seems like another way to “help” people in the race to pay as little as possible for as much work as people are willing to put in.

Don’t do it! I sold my A4 Avant to get a Tacoma to haul my dirtbike and I miss it. Wagon can haul 90% of the stuff you need and get the $20 truck rental from Home Depot when you have stuff that’s too big.

Arizona Florida is flat af. Fixed that for you. Not sure how a state that goes from 70 feet above sea level to over 12,000 is flat af.

Have you looked at Tesla?? The Model 3 “price” they show while you configure it is $8,000 less than the real price. They’re subtracting the tax incentive AND $4,300 in “gas savings”, absolute horseshit.

WRC is by far my favorite racing series. Great cars, turbo noise, lots of surprises and amazingly close racing considering the race lasts 3 days. The last couple seasons the overall hasn’t been decided until the last 1-2 races.

How much of the decline in volume is related to cars being more dependable? In the 80-90's, a basic mid-range car would start to fall apart at 7-8 years and be in the junkyard within 12. These days it’s 12-15 years before frequent or expensive repairs.

Never thought of the E46 appearance as iconic.

I like this, a lot. Is it because I’m approaching 50 or because this is the opposite of the long-hood, fiberglass Vette driven by the mustache & mullet crowd?

It’s not just motorsports, lots of people in professional sports wouldn’t be where they are without large financial and time contributions from their parents. There are natural talents that rise up through school programs, but a lot of high level amateur competition requires parents cash and time for travel,

I’ve seen 2019 Raptors marked up to $95k here in Utah. I’m sure they’re loaded, but almost $100 grand for a truck mostly good for thrashing is ridiculous. I doubt you’ll find any within $15k of the King Ranch.

It would be nice if the street oriented one was lower. As someone who has a truck for, you know, hauling, I’d love something a lower than my Tacoma, but still has 4WD. Loading a dirtbike into a tall bed can be scary.

There’s an awful lot of empty space on the property. Plenty of space to set up manufacturing or at least prototyping facilities . There’s a ton of light industrial companies going in nearby and a large population of potential employees.

No, it was “6 in the morning, police at my door”. But maybe his remake could be “blew through the tollboth, police tapping my McClaren’s door”?

Is your lawn in a permanent dormant state due to oil & antifreeze poisoning? I’d love to not mow for 5 weeks and have my lawn stay that short.

That rig to roll the car on it’s side for undercarriage access is one of the best jerry-rigged contraptions I’ve ever seen.

Nice work, that’s going to be a fun car some day. Also a good example of why I bought the cleanest, rust-free e36 I could find. I’d much rather wrench than deal with this kind of madness.

Seems like I’ve seen this in the mid-$30s with a clean title.

For those complaining about the cost of racing, most tracks offer some sort of casual track time (Wide Open Wednesday) or have NASA/HPDE schools that can be pretty inexpensive. My wife took a $90 HPDE intro course that was 90 minutes long with about 20 minutes track time with an instructor as passenger.
