And I would agree that’s how it should be done, but unfortunately not every organization does that.
And I would agree that’s how it should be done, but unfortunately not every organization does that.
I’ve been doing motorcycle trackdays and racing for 7 years, there are usually at least half a dozen crashes at each event. Blaming suspension setup, tire temperature or compounds, etc. is a norm, but rarely does anyone put the blame on the organization, someone else, or EVER try to sue for negligence. So don’t start…
I’m not entirely sure they specify that the organization knew he missed the meeting, but rather there were accounts from other people that saw him arrive later. Keeping exact tabs of 100+ people for a riders meeting is almost impossible with the limited staff at these events.
My brother purchased his Z4M 10 years ago and they still go for what he bought his for ($25-30k). They’ve held value incredibly well and will undoubtedly climb in the near future, especially the few Z3's with the S54 motor - absolutely brutal little cars.
And let’s tackle the serious issue here: spending $50,000 on an STI still won’t separate you from all the subi-bro’s who will rev their straight-pipe, uncatted exhaust in dead stop traffic as a means of saying “hi” and embarrass you in front of everyone in a half-mile radius.
I loved my STI, but the scene that comes…
Although I loved my STI hatch, there were plenty of times I wished it had more space for a daily driver. My ‘16 Outback is perfect for hauling so I can definitely see the appeal of the Levorg chassis which is almost identical. I would still consider a hatchback option but my sensible side would say “eh... get the…
They do not: “It’s hard to explain, but when you look through something like that, it does change... Your brain and eyes just need to catch up with it.” -Scott Dixon
But offers less protection / structural integrity, glare, and visual warping. At those speeds, I would hate to miss a brake marker by 5-10 ft as I overtake because someone thought aesthetics were more important than my skewed vision. Last I remember, Industrial Designers were not a key part of an F1 team.
Uhh... I remember people going ape-shit over the release of those vehicles as well. But the iconic Explorer, which arguably started the SUV craze, getting this same treatment is what baffles most of us. It’s purity has been lost.
I don’t think the process had anything to do with it, but rather it wasn’t even complete. Concept renders show a giant middle support spanning taller than the bridge with steel cables suspending the it upward. None of that is in the photos of the wreckage. If so, then how in the hell was traffic allowed to go…
From initial photos, looks like one side of the supports collapsed and the rest of the bridge followed (there is no center support?). Hence why one side is more intact. This is a newer installation method where they build the bridge off site and assemble it quickly on site. First procedure was done outside Milwaukee,…
And...? Welcome to the modern automotive industry.
A paddle-gearbox can absolutely be a fun daily driver, and I used to be a strong proponent of the “manual only” party. But to each their own. If it’s a matter of Toyota meeting a price point and not adding production costs, then I can understand why there’s no manual.
It’s been rumored for a while now that it uses a variant of the N55 BMW motor and chassis of the Z4. Multiple auto magazines have been reporting it from ‘inside’ sources since prototypes came out in 2016.
Hah, fair enough - it’s not for everyone. But take an explanation of a crash from the rider with a grain of salt, often times they will blame anything and everything but themselves.
If it was weight distribution then he didn’t have the suspension set for preload correctly, front-end got light under throttle causing the tire to lose grip and oscillate as it made contact again and made it worse by chopping the throttle and grabbing the brake, loading the front tire even more. A number of other…
“Oh no, the speed wobbles!? Better grab an ass-load of front brake!”
It’s also a Bimmer from the Bangle era which means its bodywork exhibits that designer’s trademark, which he dubbed “Flame Surfacing.” The rest of the world dubbed it questionably attractive, and the company slowly backed away from the look over the course of a few years and model cycles.
I wouldn’t argue against that reasoning at all, but if you’re a law abiding citizen then you should not have to worry about the majority of proposals that the NRA is pushing back against so sternly. As a fellow gun enthusiast my whole life, the amount of paranoia towards the government that a lot of other enthusiasts…
