Was never a massive Camaro (or muscle) car fan until I drove a 2017 SS down Highway 1 and through Mulholland Dr. for a weekend. I’ve owned M5, Audi S4's, AMG’s, STI’s and it impressed the hell out of me; the brakes and handling match the power of that motor and give you great confidence. They are seriously fantastic

Technically it’s not being renamed; it was never officially named to begin with. So this loophole, if you will, wouldn’t neccesitate mandatory renaming of everything else with racist connotations. Full disclosure: I lived next to that bridge for a while and never knew it was named after this dude.

This is what angers me about the new Prius (not that I enjoyed them before). Every time I see one I get tricked into thinking there is a giant dent on the side of the car from certain angles, but when I get a better view it’s actually just a totally unnecessary bulge or contour line on the body. A lot of designers are

“Oh, you have an M5 - why didn’t you just get a 540i? It’s practically the same car without the aero kit.” In regards to my old E39.

I would haggle a bit and see where it ends up. But if you haven’t owned or worked on this car before then it can be a nightmare. Coilpacks, ignition modules, 1st-2nd gear synchro, K03 turbo failure, cracked plastic on stock intercoolers, weak intake hose connections, etc.

It’ll cost money to maintain (figure $1000

I remember feeling that way when selling some of my first vehicles that I was attached to. Now-a-days it doesn’t really bother me so long as I still see it being used. This repair job with eBay fairings is pretty typical for most sportbikes on craigslist.

As someone who used to own one, I can’t tell you how satisfying and nostalgic it is to see this progress on maybe one of the nicest 900RR’s in existence. Great work!

Absolutely correct. I worked on the Carbon Motors police car and did a lot of the contextual research with police officers for the interior design of the car. Primary issue was space and safety. I remember doing a ride-along in a Crown Vic rushing to a scene at 100 mph in traffic and being terrified. If we crashed,

I like the new BMW X7 concept.

Rented one from them as well when I drove from Denver to Vail. My god was that car incredible to drive through the tight Rocky Mountain roads. Besides the incredible grip and chassis feel, the transmission and brakes were phenomenal. I’ve driven or owned a good chunk of every generation AMG, Audi S, & BMW M but that

Sounds fine to me, so long as the price is right. Keep in mind it’s supposed to be turbocharged which will mean a big difference in usable power through the rev-range over a NA 370Z. Either way, I don’t expect this car to be a GTR competitor but I’m sure it will live up to it’s name.

Living in the heart of Harley land, the biggest excuse I hear is “Well, if it’s my time to die then so be it”. Yet every time I’ve seen someone crash the first thing they say is “THANK GOD I’M STILL ALIVE”.

2016
Harley Engineer: “What’s that?”
Japanese Engineer: “What? That? The monoshock?”
HE: “Ma-.... Manosh-”
JE: “Monoshock”
HE: “... Looks communist”

2017
HE: “We’ve made an incredible breakthrough with our new models. We have incorporated a ‘monoshock’ design that will change motorcycling forever.”

Popped a fuel line on my in-tank fuel pump during rush hour traffic in Denver. Decided in my infinite wisdom as a youngster to fix it on the spot (only needed a phillips head to access it). There is a particular fear when cars are passing only feet away from you at high speed and you are reaching in, through the

I would absolutely agree with you and would not do the same as the cyclist in this situation. However, having been the victim of a hit-and-run and left crippled on the ground, I understand the other side of it because the car that hit me was found abandon and the owner claimed it was stolen/borrowed from a relative

After giving Mercedes crap for years about only having automatic transmissions, I had the chance to drive a ‘17 C63 through the rocky mountains last month and frankly I don’t care about having a manual anymore with these newer sports saloons. The speedshift transmissions are so damn quick on up/downshifts, spot-on

I... I oddly love everything about this for reasons I cannot coherently explain.

SVT Lightning: stupid in appearance and design, which also happens to make it oddly fun.

I cannot believe this right now; an absolute gentleman of the sport and a huge inspiration to myself to get in to motorcycle racing. RIP & deepest condolences to his family, fiance, and millions of friends & fans across the world.

Heavy legislation on fossil fuels (as much as I would hate to see V8's vanish from production) will not kill the industry by any stretch of the means. The concept of sports cars is based on adrenaline and competition, not who can soak through a tank of gas quicker while sounding the best. California will not regulate
