They first went “retro” in 1994 for the 30th anniversary and to bring the design language back to it’s roots. Below is a dealership poster.

The 1994 model was explicitly designed based on the 1964.5 model. It had almost it’s entire design language based around it and retro to bring the Mustang back to it’s roots. It was also done to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Mustang which was heavily pushed. The last non retro model was the Foxbody. The below

Well you got the origin story of the SN95 completely backwards. Ford was never going to retire the Mustang for the Probe. The Probe was going to be the new Mustang. People lost their minds when they heard the new Mustang was going to be a rebadged FWD V6 at best Mazda. Ford rightly got the message and quickly designed

Read that as Lil’ Chef 4x4 at first. I think I’m going to stick with that. Haha

I’ve noticed lately that Gen Z, and some Millenials, are bringing back full face helmets on cruisers. Ironically they wear almost zero other gear. No gloves, a t-shirt, lightweight pants/shorts and vans or chucks typically sans socks as well. Just odd to bring back a stigmatized helmet on cruisers only to ignore the

Nice! This is exactly the kind of two wheel tomfoolery we need!

They chose to make 50 in 2008 because that is how many they made in 1968.

I’m not talking about the engine. Ford produced factory drag racing cars called Cobra Jets starting in 1968. The 2018 version was the 50th anniversary edition based on the 68 CAR not engine. Google it.

The first Cobra Jet factory drag cars debuted in 1968.

Too low to function means so low it won’t run. That is a very low number. It’s more important that each cylinder is within 5% to 10% psi of one another. The 900 has a minimum recommended psi of 116 to operate efficiently. Key word efficiently. You’ll be hard pressed to notice the difference for a very long time. Save

How does it run fine if it has low compression? Could be faulty tester whether it’s the compression tester or the person using it. It could also be stuck rings from sitting if it actally is low. Generally, low compression and runs fine don’t coexist.

I didn’t say starts right up. I said drops right in. That implies the engine physically drops right in.

The GM 3800SC is a great swap engine for the Fiero that drops right in. Pretty easy to squeeze 300 hp out of one which is amazing in that car.

That’s actually not that bad. I picked up an 87 Fiero GT 5 speed as a summer beater a few years ago. Then I looked underneath and saw it was ready to snap in half. Had at least 5x the rust yours had. Ended up selling it as a parts car for cost.

Yep. I have a vert mustang with mismatched paint that’s a little too low and def looks like a beater. All the mechanicals underneath are upgraded tho and it’s supercharged. It’s not good for anything really other than me having fun.

Thank you! Some of the prudes in here are insufferable.

I love Day 2 type shit. I like to do that with my bikes. Improve performance and handling and make minor aesthetic tweaks. Best of both stock/modified worlds.

I admire the dedication and commitment it took to hit publish on that post. That is some precision laser focus right there.

Nice point. I have a few bikes. One is a Shovelhead. Not the fastest bike at all but an excellent cruiser. People comparing this engine to a race rep engine or a car engine is ignorant. Like comparing a diesel truck to a Ferrari. Many different 2 wheel types as there are many different 4 wheel types.
