Red and Kitty Foreman. They’re still so damn hot and bothered for each other after all this time. And they’re one of the few examples of opposite personalities attracting that feels so solid. A worse acted couple would make their fights seem like they didn’t like each other or weren’t a good match, but Debra Jo Rupp

I love The Americans. LOVE it. My favorite show of the last decade, hands down.

And I’m absolutely convinced the AV Club would have just as happily snarked their way through “Academy president fails to address open-palmed elephant in room at Oscar Nominees Luncheon” if Yang didn’t bring it up. It’s a win-win!

I’m not sure what having parents who got rich outside of show business has to do with nepotism, but you sure got that buzzword in there, I guess

Look I’m all about believing the victim but...this gal is lying.

I mean, she’s 8 records into a career she seems to take pretty seriously. I think all the no talent nepo baby arguments have been pretty well debunked at this point.

Ugh no Homer has almost no redeeming qualities - he loves Marge, okay, but he’s terrible at his job, a lousy dad, a mediocre husband. He doesn’t clean or cook or help with the kids hardly at all. It’s been shown time and again that Marge is much smarter and more competent. She deserves better.

A mean Tweet would be something like “Valerie Jarrett, you suck”. Roseanne went in a different direction.

Is she a nepo? Looks like her parents work in marketing/advertising

I don’t even really know who she is but having a book on feminism thrown at you by strangers sounds like the kind of thing a liar would say.

Me: Believe women

Unreliable Witness would be a great title for a Lana Del Rey album.

No.  It’s really not anything like that, at all

Lets not kid ourselves.   For all the public denouncement of “The Slap”, the Academy president is giddy about the fact that something, anything, happened at the Oscars that got people talking for more then a day.  They are bringing it up again now so people remember that happened and go “I should watch this year to

Homer Simpson is a hyper manic alcoholic that constantly puts his and his families physical, mental and financial well being in danger.  Marge is either a saint on Earth or the world’s worst enabler.

The problem is they dropped the ball the very moment that happened. Boiled down to its essence, someone came onto stage and physically assaulted another person. In any other venue, involving anyone else, that assailant would’ve been thrown out of the theater, and into a police cruiser. That’s what should’ve. happened

And they’re gonna write about it as if they’re above it all. Again and again. And again and again and again.

I agree with her. If you get up and slap the host of an awards show you should be removed from the premises. That will never change.

I’m not really sure this is “beating a dead horse” considering it’s the Academy president talking at an Oscars luncheon about the organization’s response, and how this impacts the Oscars going forward. Seems like that’s exactly where it would be still relevant to bring up. Beyond that, I’m sure Will Smith would like
