But the one in the Florida park will be revamped to be more racist, right?

Super pedantic, but Splash Mountain opened first in 1989, not ‘92 (this was at Disneyland--’92 is probably the date of the Magic Kingdom version?)  I remember well because that was our first family trip to Disneyland, and the whole time I was aware that if we had gone just a month later we could have rode it.

Can you blame him for droolin’ all over Sally Field? Should’ve called that movie Smokeshow and the Bandit.

“Setting up the question with Field’s named favorite on-screen kiss from James Garner in Murphy’s Romance...”

Also, the famous Shaw neighborhood in Washington DC, often referred to as Black Broadway because of the historical Black live theaters located there is named in Robert Gould Shaw’s honor.

We would not have his body removed from where it lies surrounded by his brave and devoted soldiers. ... We can imagine no holier place than that in which he lies, among his brave and devoted followers, nor wish for him better company. – what a body-guard he has!”

In Emancipation, what happens before and after the taking of this influential photo (first published in Harper’s Weekly in July of 1863) is justifiably invented but unjustifiably fraudulent

I shudder to think of what other “stirring correctives” to actual history that this reviewer would like to see in film.

It’s a testament to Smith’s abilities that his performance, as uncelebrated by Oscar as it’s destined to be, will make you forget The Slap.

Robert Gould Shaw was the white colonel’s name and he actually existed, led the 54th, died with them and was buried with them.

I mean, it has to be a good movie.  If the movie sucks, we’ll all hate the title too.

Is this about a rotary phone?

Indiana Jones and the Dial Up of Destiny.  You will believe a man can eventually go online!

I would love for That 90s Show to include a picture of Masterson in court as what happens to Hyde. Then Red can see it on TV and say “I always knew he was a giant dumbass”.

I was on a jury for a sexual assault trial once and it ended up in a hung jury. A couple of the people who were against convicting him were legit morons, but a couple of them had truly considered all the evidence and didn't think the case was proven beyond a reasonable doubt, even though they thought he was most

That’s not what’s going on. If you’re a juror you can believe he raped each of the three women. But following your oath and deciding on the evidence that the prosecution proved beyond a reasonable doubt that he raped each woman is, rightfully, a different story.

I’m continually surprised we ever get unanimous decisions in trials. Have you guys met Americans these days?

Rumors is a perfect album. She lived a fantastic life and will be remembered through time, can’t ask for much more. RIP Christine McVie, the heart of Fleetwood Mac.

It will be even harder now to listen to Songbird without tearing up.

Really hate to hear this.  Nothing sounds like Fleetwood Mac.
