Wow, this is the least interesting “twist” I can conceive of.

Saw it at a festival a couple months back. I liked it a lot. The article leaves out that this actually happened with James Morosini and his real life father, and that Morosini is essentially playing himself. Fantastic performance from Patton Oswalt. But if you’re not a fan of cringe humor, it’s probably not for you.

TBS, for its part, offered no explanation or reasoning behind the sudden cancelation. However, TBS’s statement does explain that canceling Chad before audiences could see the thing is merely a part of how Warner Bros. Discovery “assess content and implement a new strategy for our network.”

Jon Connington, Young Griff, Lady Stoneheart, Wyman Manderly, Victarion Greyjoy, Jeyne Poole, Harrold Hardyng, and Arianne Martell died on the way to their home planet.”

He’s entered Late-Stage Fantasy Anthology Syndrome.

Yeah, this is a sort of ‘joke’ people love to parrot, like replacing problematic actors with Tig Notaro because that’s a thing that happened once.

Sanderson already said he would refuse to do it. He’s a Mormon who doesn’t want to write that sort of edgy material.

The writers really biffed it with Jonathan. In the beginning he was really into photography and wanted to go to NYU. Now he’s just a stoner with no goals or plans? I get that they had to make room for other characters, but if I were Charlie Heaton I’d be pissed at how little his character matters anymore.

was kind of hoping to see what would happen, physics wise when little Nancy fired that shotgun.

Yeah, I was in HS in the first half of the 90s in a very small district (all the graduating classes were well <50; zero traffic lights in the “town” where the schools were situated) and yes, it’s absolutely what people did. When the county you live in has a population density <20/sq. mile, there aren’t many

I have not watched the show in a while but I was in High School in the 90s in a large chicago suburb and people broke up, dated other people and then got back together all the fucking time.  Its what teenagers and young adults do

Not cowards. They’re sticking to their 80's genre. Which means the primary character deaths either aren’t going to happen or are saved for the last episode of the final season as part of some sacrificial play.

Idk, in a moment of stress, a brave charming guy who’s not bad-looking and seems to have grown up a lot... I could see it happening. People get back with their exes all the time.

Just because a show doesn’t go full Game-of-Thrones on its cast, doesn’t make the writerscowards”. It’s just a different genre of TV.

cause she looks deathly thin

Was the “Natalia Dyer weighs in...” headline really necessary?

Eh.  I was on again off again with someone for years from junior year of high school well into my 20s.  There were reasons Nancy was into Steve at the beginning.  I haven’t watched season 4 yet so I don’t know the Jonathan dynamic but it’s believable.

She also needs to eat a sandwich.

And as is often the case with real life couples, their onscreen chemistry is negligible
