The show is set in 2003. “We’re still a few years away from the recession in 2003” as in, “It’s not like the recession is just around the corner since it’s only supposed to be 2003.”

Don’t know about all the rest, but I got the sense that Mesa Verde is in danger of over expanding. Seeing so many overly ambitious architectural models (so much cheaper to go with a standard design, or, better yet, take over a space that’s already been built) while the bank president rattled off the names of

“Somebody’s gonna hurt someone before the night is through”

Yup. My dad f***in’ hates the Eagles.

That’s just cruel.

I also picked middle school as the time to grow out my bangs. My mom was a hair Nazi and HATED partially grown out bangs. The only way she would let me out of the house was if I allowed her to French braid the bangs to the sides of my head in a half-up, half-down kind of thing—with two braids because my bangs weren’t

Clarkson’s a great actress, so I’m more inclined to view it as two layers of performance, with Adora as a transparent drama queen who is blatantly “playing a role” (possibly many) in her everyday life. It reminded me of her role as Ruth’s self-aggrandizing, failed artist sister in Six Feet Under.

Or the first book/second episode of A Series of Unfortunate Events for that matter.

I have it on excellent authority from Lemony Snicket that the wedding certificate must be signed “in the bride’s own hand” for a scenario of this sort to result in a legally binding marriage.

I mean, what I’m getting from all this (especially the video with him and his mom) is that the real issue is you’re supposed to stress the ROD part. When you do that, it doesn’t really make as much of a difference whether you pronounce the first syllable with an “uh” sound or a “y” sound.

c’mon, you two lovebirds — obviously on both counts it’s White Heat in a walk.

“At the moment you have Gus Fring’s respect,” Mike Lydia tells LydiaMike drily when she tries to rein in his security freelancing; “I’d want to keep it if I were you.”

Sure is good to have Jimmy McGill insisting on accurate trash pop culture references again: “Actually it’s Jaws 3D.”

That leaves Ma free to explore the other big theme of zombie narratives—that the true monsters aren’t the dead, but the living.

A love of the Sims and 19th century British literature?! You’re not an OSU grad student by any chance, are you? (I kid—the friend I’m thinking of quit the Sims years ago for reasons similar to my own.) Personally, I tend to prefer 19th century American lit.

12 years?! Good god, that’s impressive. I’m going to go ahead and assume you’re better at starting and stopping than I am because I’m pretty sure I’d be unemployed with no money left for electricity to keep playing after about three years of Simming.

It’s kind of crazy how much they look alike if you just focus on the peepers. Something about the combination of no eyebrows and squintiness...
