He’s working with Katy Stoll, another former ex-Cracked staffer, and they also put out a podcast with Robert Evans! I think this show is Even More News. The one with Evans is Worst Year Ever.

Yeah, Harry seems like a good guy, and I can’t imagine him being thrilled by constant surveillance by the press. But they've been racist as hell about Meghan Markel and honestly? Yeah, I'd fuck off too.

Yeah, that really was beautifully put. Now I have to actually think about my own life, god dammit.

You are a god damn genius and ConAir is just in my head forever now

I was so excited to see more of Mick! I have to assume that that's more of a budgetary thing, because otherwise the character is amazing and Purcell is just the best (apart from all the other actors on the show, who are also the best. Damn ensemble.)

Honestly, I think part of the issue is that Tala Ashe has chemistry with everyone (seriously, her casting was one of the best choices that the show ever made), and the same is at least 80% true for Matt Ryan. I don't think it would make for a healthy long-term relationship, mostly because John Constantine is, as a

I know this was written nearly a decade ago, but I wanted to thank you for this review. I don’t know of many movies made before the 60s that actually acknowledged racial injustice and white privilege, and I think this particular film is worth acknowledging.

Yeah, him being the only one who could stomach Ray’s horrific green juice was kind of sweet, too. Getting glasses so the whole crew could share in the pain was the perfect Rory combo.

He and his wife are church buddies of a friend of mine and are by all accounts just delightful people. (Also, per another friend who was an extra on Parks & Rec, Adam Scott is the kind of dude who hangs out with extras and is just absurdly nice. Not shocking, but it was very nice to hear!)

That was beautifully written and deeply unsettling! There’s something extra haunting about the straightforward explanation and the loose ends you were left with even after you figured everything out.

He and Katy Stoll have a pretty good YouTube news channel here!

My half-sister’s grandmother was a well-known left-wing figure in Wisconsin politics when McCarthy was coming up, so they bumped into each other a fair amount at local political events. He was a consummate politician—the kind of guy who’d insult you on camera and then wonder why you wouldn’t go for a beer with him.

The first time I ever heard the n-word in person was in a store in Gettysburg, PA, during Obama’s first campaign. Pennsylvania is wildly racist in spots—I think York had the most hate groups in the US at one point (no idea if this is still true, but oh boy were there a lot of Confederate stickers).

And it didn’t even work! Dammit, Thawne, kill more parents next time.

It was $75k per branded post, unfortunately. I have no idea what their actual profits are, but I have to imagine they're swimming in money Scrooge McDuck style.

Oh man, technical writing/editing in any language is...character building. I don’t know if this is standard (I mostly work in international health), but I think you have to take an Incomprehensible Writing 101 course to get a master’s in public health.

“Chilling and fascinating” is definitely right—I basically went through the whole thing in one go.

I’m a copyeditor, and I endorse this message. It’s a great tool, but it’s very easy to get complacent and skip proofreading, which can go very very wrong. (Example: “men who have sex with men” is a very common phrase in my field. I see “men who have sex with me” a LOT in docs from other organizations.)

I’m just finishing up season 1. It’s ridiculous fun with sympathetic characters, which is what I want from a show like this. Not for everyone, but it hits its marks so far!

Exactly! Steve Rogers grew up in Brooklyn and came of age in the New Deal era—I always pictured him as a 30s liberal. (Which is why his characterization in The Avengers 1 confused me a bit, but bygones)
