Sorry, but who keeps recording all of this.

There’s really nothing wrong with either of them. They’re both perfectly acceptable basic transportation. We should all be driving cars like that instead of stupid suvs.

Sarcasm aside. I’m not sure I’m ready to crap on the guy that got a new Dart in 2022.

Larry’s beautiful wife liked the Lancer but not the Dart. She won’t say why.

...Don’t fuck with the Russians!

While Toyota’s approach makes more sense, the “conservative” approach would have been to have it be a goddam circle.

The company can’t afford to rebuild it and has launched a crowdfunding campaign to see it happen. However, given the conditions of the country right now that money would probably be better spent on supporting the people.

Isn’t this the truck that everyone claims they want but the big 3 won’t build anymore because there’s not enough profit? Given the stupid market and the miles I’d say this is easy NP on a truck that’ll be easy to keep on the road.

I think it was on here someone commented that “the most subversive thing you can do in America, is to NOT be in a hurry”

Those pressure’s aren’t really all that crazy. I mean, if the highest pressures you’re familiar with is the 120psi cycling tire, sure, 10k sounds like a ton. I regularly work with pressurized fluids and gases at about 5x higher than that range, in substantially higher volumes, for primarily combustibles. In some cases

The new Emira is priced starting at $78k. It tops out (for now) at $94k for the V6 First Edition. Now, seen from a hp/$ ratio, it’s not a great deal for 400 hp. But Lotus cars have never been about maximum horsepower. $94k for a manual transmission mid-engined sport car that has a balanced chassis and excellent

I totally understand why they’re doing it and don’t think it looks bad, but this is the absolute most un-Lotus thing imaginable.

I asked Tom because he seems to have the most coming through and this is what he... diplomatically said:

At this price point, it dances with other competitors in the segment like the Porsche 911, McLaren GT, and the Mercedes AMG GT.

So I double checked - Florida DOES tax boats at 6% of the value.  But Florida changed the law to cap the tax bills for boats to $18,000.  So the owner instead of paying 6% of $3.3 million, would be capped at $18,000.  So nearly a 90% discount versus a home...

Me too - I was going to say... ehhh... this is a stretch.

I used to run the internet department for a Cadillac dealer owned by Sonic Automotive. I was there when they went no-haggle. They called it “True Price” and claimed a computer algorithm took data from dealers within a certain radius to guarantee we had the lowest price.

You know the beauty of buying bananas? I don’t have a salesperson trying to sell me bananas. I know I want bananas. I know I want 6 bananas. I know the condition of the bananas I want. I don’t need some idiot telling me I really want 4 apples.

A better analogy for your eating out scenario is that 2 bars who sell the same beer . One costs $5 and the other $7. The customer who chooses to pay $5 for their beer is not doing it to harm the server at the restaurant who charges $7. Is is the restaurant who is harming the server by not being competitive.

This is a system the dealerships created. It’s not the customer’s fault you don’t make much money when they get the best deal. If you don’t want to sell them a car at a certain price you have the choice not to. Just like the customer has the choice to take a better offer elsewhere.
