Thanks for doing the math. I was expecting to see this in the article rather than casting the wide net of doubt. Would also be nice if someone did some digging into whatever technologies BYD is planning to roll out in the near future to see if those would close the gap. That almost sounds like journalism though.

The fact that this monster truck is legal to drive on American roads is a testament to this country’s incredible freedom when it comes to car culture.

The problem is being disconnected from the clutch pedal.

Transmitting pictures of text is accelerating global warming. This whole thing could have been a bulletized list of text instead of a slideshow.

Alternate headline: “At least 750,000 airbags attached to bad GM Trucks/SUVs”

That’s what import taxes and trade wars negotiations are for.

Are you building for resiliency or profit? This quarter’s profits or tomorrow’s profits? Today’s systems don’t give you credit for fixing tomorrow’s problem. You only get penalized for spending the money this quarter. The balance between doing the thing and paying for the thing you need to do is complicated. Kicking

I’m surprised they waited so long. In an alternate reality where we could make political lobbying illegal, how would rich people/corporations wield their power?

Why would you rush to this guy’s defense? You can give this pilot the benefit of the doubt with regards to which circle of hell he will end up in. You can not give this pilot a pass when he’s supposed to be doing his job of flying a plane with passenger safety on the line.

You’re being obtuse and you know it. I don’t care if people own trucks. I don’t care if you actually haul dry wall and plywood on a daily basis. Nobody needs to daily drive a lifted, coal-rolling brodozer. Somebody may be able to put a Raptor/TRX/ZR2 to use, but no one who actually bought one is racing around the

If a truck buyer honestly defends their purchase, I think most of us would move on with life. The problem is the truck buyers who are defending their God-given right to do whatever they want with no regard for the society they exist within and impact. This is not about trucks; it is about selfishness.

Asked another way: If you were John Hamm, would you wear baggy pants?

It’s a mixed bag. The major mechanicals seem good. If this 911 had a single big issue with a known price tag for the fix, I’d call the price good. Instead we have:

Someone gave this 911 some great care and feeding to get it over 100k miles. But they priced it as if it has no issues and lower mileage. Can’t have your cake and eat it too.

Translate: “We’re not sure which alibi we’re going with yet but we want to make sure we all pick the same one this time.”

Not sure which way to go with this one ...

All these ICE cars will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.
