I was on a panel with BGen Pete Worden (ret) who is the Director of NASA's Ames Research Center yesterday (24 July 2014). The reason all of this came about, according to his recounting of discussions with Elon Musk, was to have an effective way to land on Mars vs crashing into Mars. The economic benefits are, believe

Why don't you guys title these articles "The Morning Shift"? Just curious. After all this time reading Jalopnik, I don't see the article because it has the title to the first gear article, which, believe it or not, doesn't always catch the readers' eyes.

I travel a ton. I fly pretty much only first class. I do not use WiFi in flight. Ever. On most longer flights the WiFi goes away shortly after you leave either coast of the US. I have used it in the past and found it a waste of my time. Most of my work is proprietary and I don't even open my laptop anymore on an

I'd sacrifice 10k birds to save the life of one human. But that's just me.

Of course if you're looking at an EV buy used is the wrong way to go. You must buy new to get the Government to foot $7500 of the bill, and in Colorado we get an additional $6k.

My issue with leasing is the mileage restrictions. I drive my cars. We drive from Colorado to California. Colorado to Michigan. Colorado to Missouri. On a daily basis we don't do a ton of miles, but we make up for it in road trips.

But was it "Trail Rated"?

How well does it "Stick" to textured dashboards? I'm testing some other brands now for an upcoming review, but they all have difficulty with my BMW's dashboard.

An old Air Force friend of mine, former F-16 driver and now FedEx pilot took a pic of it too.

I fly 1st Class 95% of the time. My firm actually pays for the ticket (I.e. I'm not upgrading). The food is so-so. The seats are way better, plus I always get overhead space. I fly United and it's okay.

My pics of the truck from Friday night's FanFest. And his "replacement" Triumph motorcycle.

I used Uber in DC last week. They are awesome! You couldn't pay me to ride in a DC cab.

Canada is making for an easy route into the US for more advanced aircraft. Their small number of fighters will be easy pickings. The choice becomes: 1) save money now and end up being grounded in a major conflict; or 2) spend more money and have a shot at fighting a superior enemy. Every conflict begins with

We've been thinking about an i3, but put the idea behind us because it didn't work with Tesla's network. It'd be a boon to the nation if Superchargers were opened up to more cars, even if you had to pay a fee to recharge ($30??).

I hope it's a big improvement over Forza 5. I'm already bored with it. The real story is GTA5 for Xbox One!

There is no doubt Ford is producing some great vehicles, but they have a nearly insurmountable problem: its dealers. They have little to no accountability. They treat customers like numbers. Elon Musk understands this and has steadfastly avoided franchise dealers. Now if he could only buy Ford and dump their dealers.

Should I feel guilty for belly laughing when I know the moose is in pain? I just couldn't help it. I swear. I'll be more compassionate next time. Really. I will.

Yeah, it would be a surprise.

United offers something similar in First Class. I wouldn't call it gourmet though.
