I've done a few series re-watches, and this episode drops a little further out of my Top 10 each time. Like the reviewer, I absolutely loved it the first time, but the more I watch it, the more I realize there's something about it that rubs me the wrong way.
This is an interesting headline.

So my buddies were (ironically) crazy about that place way back in the day, and were very disappointed when it shut down.

If we're doing opening scenes that surpass the film proper, my favorite has always been Narc. It's a pretty standard gritty cop drama, but the opening scene is so spectacular and so harrowing that it fooled me into thinking it was a good movie.
It was Doug Stanhope, but it was more of a goof.
