I remember as a kid in the 80s someone had written “PIGS IN SPAAAACE” on one of those signs. Never failed to make the family laugh.

OK, hold it on this one. I’m actually quite invested in this one as my kiddo is getting their driver’s license. And surprisingly enough, they get taught a LOT, and the skills they require are 100% appropriate. To the point that she will now point out when I roll a stop sign, change lanes without signalling and any…
As opposed to not responding to active shooters out of cowardice, like now?
It’s always jarring to hear that someone who you vigorously disagree with on basically everything makes a sound point. It always makes me wonder if I’ve somehow become an asshole without realizing it.
I don’t even understand the appeal of this thing for NON-truck stuff. The flat panels make it look primitive to me rather than futuristic. Like it was built by a civilization that hadn’t yet figured out how to bend steel into more complex shapes.
I would think the guy he is supporting might be on the list.
It makes sense when you realize he’s the richest man in the world, a white supremacist, and a fascist. He bought Twitter, not to make money or to foster free speech, but to amplify and promote the voices of the most fascistic, racist, anti-progressive views on the platform.
Musk endorsing Trump just doesn’t make any sense. He clearly doesn’t like Biden but that doesn’t explain everything that’s going on. To be not percieved as a lefty would help sell some trucks, but the move to the weird part of the right wing is just strange compared to his pre-Twitter purchase behavior. You don’t…
It’s not just that the price has gone up; the estimated range also dropped significantly. Dropping from 340 to 318 on the AWD model and from 320 to 301 on the Cyberbeast.
For a vehicle that already offered disappointing range, that hurts.
So, the ~$39k increase in price to get the least expensive version happens to be the same amount of money as what Tesla originally promised the least expensive versions would cost...
Got charged $20k more than when I ordered it, the software bricked 5 miles after picking it, up, and they said whatever the problem is isn’t covered under warranty...
“Prospective buyers eyeing a base-model Cybertruck will now have to shell out an additional $39,000 just to get their foot in the door."
Not just one, but two dorito spinners? Well, that’s the mark of a madman right there, so really no surprise on the Cybertruck.
I’m normally not one to suggest a vehicle lease over a purchase, but at this point in our transition to EVs, leasing might actually make the most sense. Battery technology is still rapidly evolving and with incentives being better for leases, it seems like a lease is a low risk and low cost (relatively) way to drive…
Are they probing the crash with a s’mores fork? Because I think all that’s left is coals.
AI seems like a decent productivity enhancer- like, “please make this email more concise and direct” or “rewrite this copy to an 8th grade reading level”- and as such it’s pretty useful if you work in marketing. Ditto with asking photoshop to extend a photo rather than spending an hour or so doing it yourself.
