Yeah yikes. It never occurred to me that there are people who don’t know the prices are different from location to location.

The Arrowverse deserves so much credit for what they did with the limited resources they had on a broadcast television schedule. It’s a shame they were also limited by those resources and schedules, and that WB (and eventually James Gunn) didn’t feel it was worth their time to take any of the creatives that worked on…
Thank you so much for writing this-the Arrowverse deserves to be celebrated. The whole thing was so much fun from start to finish. And I will always loudly maintain that Arrow Season 2 is up there with anything the rest of TV has to offer. After hate watching the last season of Titans, I started re-watching Arrow for…
Absolutely agree. It’s not like the MCU isn’t a noteworthy achievement for superheroes, Marvel Comics, and interconnected cinematic universes, but I think people are too quick to dismiss the success and pop culture relevance of comic book movies in the first half of the aughts. Essentially, the Spider-Man and X-Men…
Not to be confused with HBO’s Booboverse (Rome, GoT, etc.)
Paul Wesley is older than Shatner was in TOS, and is playing a version of Kirk who’s supposed to be 5-7 years younger. It’s a bit weird.
Ignoring the absolute slander on Pike’s Peak, I think any awkwardness from the Lower Decks crossover episode is probably because of how difficult comedic timing can be - this is a primarily dramatic trailer stitching together clips for a primarily dramatic show, the little snippits of comedy aren’t going to work as…
I can’t wait for the new season.
The modern GOP loves to use the “this will raise costs for average Americans” talking point… while conveniently leaving out that all of their own policies raise long term costs for average Americans by shifting the burden from the rich donor class to the “average American”.
2nd gear:
I would lose my shit laughing. Possibly literally.
I actually pitched something like this a few times but have had the pieces denied by outlets because I called The Arrowverse more ambitious than any relevant cinematic universe I. E. The Marvel Universe. It is. Regardless of how successful or unsuccessful these projects have been for studios, the CW were the only ones…
Seriously? The ending is too predictable. We are going to pan away from John looking into a snowglobe and realizing the whole series of events was all in his imagination.
Like how in the last few minutes of Get Shorty, Harvey Keitel (playing Dennis Farina’s character) gets to say the iconic line “Fuck you, fuck-ball.”
I loved Fuches line in that phone convo with NoHo Hank - “Why you shootin’ rockets at my house”?
“Mm-hmm, yes, add to cart.”
Yea Barry escaping so easily is the one thing that seemed weird to me abt this episode, like... I can’t imagine Moss would work that hard to catch him, after all that buildup, and then just leave him there where he can easily escape? It felt disappointing to me, like I expected more of a showdown between them, but…
Good take. Rivian in getting better at production, has a large cash buffer, several stable investors and name recognition now. It just needs that one hit vehicle in the semi affordable range to really take off. Lucid though? Not convinced yet they'll be one to survive.
Tesla really got going when they came out with the Model 3, something a lot of people could afford. When Rivian comes out with a Maverick sized vehicle for $45k it will see the kind of success Tesla has seen in the last few years.
I’ve gone from rarely seeing a Rivian, to at least one a day. Different ones even! Seeing more of the SUV ones as well. Looks great, wish I had the kind of cash needed to buy one..
