Those who tend to oppose electric vehicles also tend to oppose mandates for MPG increases. The point of articles like these is more often an attempt to subvert the very idea of pollution controls rather than to advocate for more efficient manners of pollution control.

I knew there was something making them stupid. I just didn’t know what, and I was starting to fear it was merely my own prejudice against the young that made me perceive them as idiots. Thankfully, I can lay the blame elsewhere now. Thank you, science!

One of the first houses I lived in had a compartment for milk deliveries. It was not recliner-adjacent, though, so we never used it.

Just in time for the election to get into gear and people cementing their opinions of what the current zeitgeist is like.

Not necessarily losing factory incentives, but it does seem like it’s often more difficult to negotiate as good a price for a car that’s not currently on their lot.

So part of the plan for autonomous cars is to make things less convenient for me since I’ll have to go shlepping out to the curb to get my deliveries instead of having them delivered all the way to the door? I don’t think moving all production to the US would necessarily solve Harley’s problems since at least some of the issue are tariffs imposed by other countries in retaliation to US tariffs.

Yeah, my niece has taken her sweet time getting her license. I’m not sure she actually has it yet, and is closing in on 20 and was given a brand new Mazda 3 as a high school graduation gift about a year ago. And she lives pretty far out in the suburbs in a not-very-walkable area.

Build ‘em in Mexico where there’s already a VW plant and no chicken tax.

I park next to sketchy vans hoping to finally be kidnapped and put out of my misery, but the lessened likelihood of door dings is a bonus.
