TBH that too was a basic, no-nonsense hatchback. Apart from the batshit dashboard, of course. They are so long gone, at least where i am looking from, that if nothing else, scarcity makes them more interesting than the C-Elysée - but not by much.

I’m sorry, but not all Citroëns were created equal, and the C-Elysée is not the first to be bland but useful, not by a stretch. The present C4, the Xsara and the ZX are just three that come to my mind.

There’s no video, and I wasn’t driving for the photo session, the owner was.

Well.... it wasn’t on fire this time, or ever, in fact this was a nice and clean example. But this engine generates so much heat, i can completely see a bit of neglect hitting back with fire.

I drove this two weeks ago. 3.2 V8, two IHI turbos, intercooler, 326 HP. You just don’t hear it’s a V8, you hear some engine, and then something, or better said: two things start their incredible concert way louder, playing angry space rocket music. And hurl you towards the horizon too.

What you described Patrick is exactly my kind of thing, and I even have the MR2 just for that. Only one thing to add: I prefer doing this at night, when there’s no one else on the road.

I was all like - maybe he was thinking about the non-VR6 GTI, that must be 16v right? Nope, that’s a 20v.

I liked the Nissan Micra the last time I got a drive in one. Could get sweet four-wheel drifts even in a roundabout...

You know Chris - if you allow me to call you that - you are right that most such hatred issues come from tribalism, but the X6 is an exception. I am the guy who normally understands and accepts the reasons behind other peoples’ vehicular choices, but you cannot show me a person, who drives an X6 and with whom i want

The fuel gauge is broken in the 505. And though it did work for a time, now the small yellow light of “fill her up” is gone too. I still don’t normally run out of gas though, because i have a vague idea of how many miles i can go with a fill, and need only to check my trip meter.

It sure is. When i looked into the motor for the video i shot with the car, turned out it is basically three stages of turbo power:

So this is means you didn't get the triple-turbo 750d Xdrive with 380 Hp? I'm sorry to hear that.

So, did he get in contact with Matt already?

absolutely. NA diesels came with manuals, the Turbos were auto-only, no matter what. And that's a fine automobile you're boasting of, congratulations.

I looked into this a bit more, and can affirm, that there indeed is a longroof W124 with a 300 turbodiesel engine (that is called the 300TD Turbo). And it gets better, as it was available with the 4Matic. However, there's a small catch: no 300 D Turbo models, be it sedan or wagon came with a manual, all were auto

Yeah I know all of that, even the part where wiki needs a pinch of salt. I just haven't got all my books on me every time I post here :-) Now I checked a bit more reliable source, and of course there was a 300TD, a 300 TD Turbo and, even a 300TD Turbo 4Matic. But of course any 300 D Turbo, be it sedan or T-model, only

I.... don't think there ever was a thing like that. Wikipedia doesn't even know about a 300 TD, let alone one with 4Matic.

My sis has one of these in 2011 guise, and she's loving it to the point she would cry at the mention of losing it. A few years time she will run out of miles to put on it though, and i bet she'll look at 2-3 yo used ones just like she did with the current car, so this 2015 modell might come right on the top of her

I always considered myself a Land Rover guy, but this is insanely cool. They don't sell it and i don't have the money, but if both would be reversed, i would be getting one of these. 10/10

Just a thought: if (and this is a big if) the Beeb decides that Jeremy should sod off, and Top Gear ceases as we know it, I'm hoping that'd be more of a new start, than an end. As we discussed when this series started, TG is more or less just repeating itself, because it's locked into it's very own (and very
