Of course, this is coming from the same guy who proclaims that every new car with a V12 engine will be the last, LAST, last, last V12 ever made, even if those pronouncements do come in the middle of absolutely beautiful and stirring pieces.

i would wager the point is to get us used to this look and feel, because the next-gen should be a complete tablet, that you can take out, and use to navigate with, listen to music etc, while you're not in the car.

As an MR2 owner (1986) two things

I'm not in the US, but based on "observation, speculation and anecdote, which are collectively known as 'data' on the web" (LOL Ash) i would say this is exactly because the manual wagon is such a niche product, almost all of the people interested in one are the very same, who want it to be diesel too. In other words:

I don't think getting Skoda across the pond would do you much good. After all, this above is a USDM special already, though only a bit different from the European model, but still.

the volkswagen america website let's you configure a brown tdi sportwagen, in that toffee brown color i posted, so maybe still. We'll see.

Can i just say somethin, very quetly? Actually, two things. Well, three.

And it comes in brown.

Humans :-)

Your OP said money cannot buy skill. Now you say you bought yourself skill by paying for extra gas.

I might not have been clear in expressing myself then. Yes of course there is natural ability in there too, for sure. However, if you have the means you can improve drastically on whatever skill you were born with.

That is, in actual fact, wrong. The very least you can rectify lack of skill by paying for driver training, so yeah, if you have the means, you can turn into a better driver.

It really doesn't matter what type, as long as it fulfills ALL of the following criteria

I like that. Yes, it's ugly, but it's also track-day-ready, and just stop for a sec, and think about what that implies.

Price-wise, i see your point, but model-wise? I would say the gap is too small between the 7 and the Ghost to get another car in there without hurting either. Of course i'm not working for their marketing department, so i wouldn't know, but still.

well, yeah, it's no Lotus in the twisties, i give you that. But you can drift this barge for sure, and that's rectifying a bit, innit?

Can it carry a dog? - Check

I know the BMW 24 TD is one of the best '80s turbo diesel engine out there, but, to quote the great sage Jeremiah Clarksonius, that is like saying i have the best of all the STDs out there.

...tears of joy, then...?
